We knew sukuh cottage was not going to be a 5 star resort, so we came here with mild expectations. But spending the night wit a lot of insects, having cold water to shower and a lack of basic hygiene was too much to have a comfortable stay.

Unlike other reviews, we had quite a pleasant stay in Sukuh Cotage. The room was basic and a little old, but clean & comfortable enough. The food in the restaurant was good (both dinner & breakfast) and the view was very nice. Was perfect for our one night stay. Booking was a bit of a hassle (could not find a...

The rooms have basic furniture and need renovation as well as the bathrooms. No aircon and no moskito nets. No wifi available. Restaurant is ok. Views and garden are nice. However there seem to be few alternatives if you have to stay overnight in Sukhu area.

This hotel is rather basic but clean. Same goes for the food. The staff is very friendly and helpful. Very close to the Sukuh temple so can be convenientif you plan a visit there. Ok for a one night stay. The environment seems constantly humid. Since the hotel is located on a hill overlooking lower villages you can 'enjoy' the...

Pros - Nice views overlooking a valley. - Clean room - Food was fine Cons - We were ripped off regarding the room rate: rp. 400.000, which is too much considering the room. They even tried to charge us 500.000 afterwards. - Breakfast was either toast+egg or nasi goreng. But we served toast without being asked what we would have...

The hotel has a really nice view. The rooms are spacious with balcony but they are really simple and especially the bathroom could do with an update. The location nearby the Sukuh temple and some nice waterfalls is great

I am not sure what all the bad reviews are about. For the price, this place was fantastic. Rooms were clean and the grounds were lovely. The grounds feel like a much nicer hotel and the rooms are very basic. We loved staying in this region and exploring the beautiful Java countryside.

We stayed for a night, after visiting the Sukuh temple, on our way to Malang. Although the views are stunning, and there is a pretty little garden, this was not a particularly pleasant stay. The room was large enough, but very basic. There was no point unpacking since there was no wardrobe, drawers or table. The shower (hot & cold)...

The hotel has an amazing view and is very close to the temple( start of a great walk towards tiawagan). The beds however was very old giving me severe backackes. Once the lights go out make sure you have company, because it has no pool or WIFI. ;)
