Due to the pandemic it had been 3 years since I visited the beautiful, tranquil Tempat Senang spa in Batam. It used to be a regular trip mid week overnight for my girlfriends and I pre covid. I was thrilled to see that it is still as awesome as it has always been, and that they are even expanding (with a new yoga deck being constructed). My girlfriend and I had the Me Time package with an overnight stay, 3 hour spa, breakfast and dinner included. We had such a wonderful relaxing time. Tempat Senang is an absolute gem. The treatments are great and the boutique, themed rooms are comfortable, with lots of little touches to make them special and you feel pampered. The service is excellent and staff are very friendly. A big shout out to Al our waiter! We will definitely be back!

We stayed at Tempat Senang for my girlfriends birthday and we couldn’t have been happier. We were collected from the ferry terminal with no issues at all, and 10 minutes later we were at the resort.
We received a great welcome from Jeje who talked us through the different spa treatments and made some helpful suggestions. The room we stayed in (bottle cottage) was amazing. Very clean, nicely decorated and very comfortable.
The spa treatments are excellent with lots to choose from and everyone working at the spa are very skilled.
The food in the restaurant is absolutely delicious and Anna who works in the restaurant was very friendly and accommodating. They even made the best Oreo birthday cake for my girlfriends birthday.
On the last day we wanted to change our ferry times back to Singapore and asked to delay our spa times. Euis helped us to do this all with no hesitation and when we checked out they had our ferry tickets already printed out for us.
This is a fantastic place to stay if you want to get away fr9m everything and relax. The friendly staff really made the trip. Thank you Jeje, Anna and Euis!

All staff were courteous (right from the ferry terminal), a few remembered what I ate the day before and some whom I haven't seen before, already knew my name before I introduced myself!

My wife booked us a couples package to have a short getaway, relax, unwind and feel rejuvenated. I use those verbs deliberately as that’s exactly how we felt upon departing Tempat Senang.
Accompanying the booking was a pickup and drop off from Sekupang ferry terminal, and a short 10 minute drive away is the hotel. Upon arrival - and consistent with other reviews - the place has a definite look and feel of Bali.
Checkin was smooth and effortless with the friendly staff taking us directly to the room. We stayed in the Borneo suite, that was big enough for two adorned with art and sculptures from Borneo. We had a great nights sleep and the bed was comfy but the only thing that was a mark down was that it is a very dark suite. We had to turn on our phone torches at night just to see.
The staff were very friendly and helpful, always with a smile and welcoming attention to detail. We ate at the restaurant for breakfast and lunch, where the selection was quite eclectic of Indonesian, Thai and western dishes. The Indonesian food was very splendid indeed.
We had a full day spa package that started at 9am, with a break for lunch and then back to more treatments for the afternoon. All I can say is that I left feeling like a new man! The spa itself is very idyllic in setting and ambiance. There is a small pool to relax in that is surrounded by treatment rooms.
For those wanting to explore the other areas of Batam, it is a bit of a long journey to some of the shopping or food areas. Grab is available and it didn’t cost too much to get to Grand Batam Mall but be prepared for up to 45 mins drive, depending on where you want to go. Also, the resort is right next to Indah Puri golf course so some people may want to consider that.
I would definitely recommend Tempat Senang for anyone wanting a relaxing Spa weekend and would go again.

A short ferry ride, a 10 minute drive and you feel you just arrived in Ubud, Bali. Tempat Senang is a hidden gem, nestled in nature. Everything is beautiful, peaceful. The room was so tasteful and comfortable, the common areas with two perfect pools and an delicious restaurant make you feel well and relaxed during the whole stay. And the SPA! Probably the best I have ever tried. Not to mention the legendary Indonesian friendliness and hospitality which complete the perfect picture. A big thank you to the whole team for this marvelous stay.

We arrived 15 earlier and the hotel transfer was already waiting at the ferry terminal. The 1st impression was good.
Check-in was fast and our preference for spa and dinner were noted in a very efficient manner.
The spa was so relaxing and the therapists were very professional in their approach. Extra touches were added to make it an unforgettable experience e.g. hair spa was done outdoors near the pool where we enjoyed it with the sound of running water in the background.
Dinner & breakfast were prepared just in time so that the food stayed fresh. We thoroughly enjoyed the dish "Our Famous Beer Can Chicken"; crispy on the outside and soft on the inside. Breakfast was customised to our preference e.g. different ways of cooking our eggs and having more of one item and fewer of another.
We were also given an option for a late check out as our room was not booked for that day.
Overall, we had a very relaxing time, pampered by every single staff at Tempat Senang. It was our 1st and definitely not the last visit. We are already planning for our next visit...... soon!

We recently booked a Valentine’s Day weekend away to go golfing and relax at a spa. Tempat Senang organised all of the golf bookings and transport and made our spa experience absolutely wonderful. An added bonus was the beautiful robes and all of the resorts skin products we got to use in the room during our stay. The rooms are unique and beautiful the venue is calming and relaxing and the staff was very accommodating. Overall one of the best weekends away we have had in Southeast Asia in a long time, we would highly recommend Tempat Senang.

This was a family spa treat and we booked the China, Madura, Timor and Borneo suites. All the rooms were nicely decorated and the bathrooms well stocked with in-house manufactured toiletries. Spa treatments and massages are the best and the peaceful ambiance makes for a relaxing time. Personally, I like the Swedish massage, Hot Compress, Hair Spa, Foot Reflexology and the Hot Compress. This is probably my tenth visit to Tempat Senang and I consider it my second home. Dennis, Ridho, Euis and Jeje ensure that all guests get the warm and personal welcome. At the restaurant, you will be assured of a gustatory delight by Anna, Victoria and Jake. I highly recommend a visit to Tempat Senang. I’m sure your first visit will not be your last.

Perfect spot a cheeky mid week escape for some much needed RnR or stay the weekend.
Go solo or grab your girlfriends for a blissful morning of massage and other spa treatments, spend the afternoon poolside (or more treatments), delicious dinner and spend the night in a tranquil room.
Easy ferry ride from Singapore with direct transfer - make it day or treat yourself to a night….. either way you won’t regret it

We recently came back from a 3d2n stay at Tempat Senang. Everything was perfect from when we were picked up at the ferry terminal on day 1 till we were dropped off on the last day. The resort is small and beautiful. There are also limited guests which contributed to the zen factor. All meals served at the restaurant were delicious. Special shout-out to Ana and Jay who were tirelessly serving the guests day and night. I would also recommend to include the hair spa treatment to your spa package. Will definitely opt for the full day spa the next time!
