This is our first time staying in this KTM Resort. Short time to escape from the busy activity/crowd in the city. Especially, could be one of recommended escape from routine. This staying during the pandemic of Covid19 in our country.
The place is old style wooden villa with a good air circulation, surrounding by trees, and located at Sekupang sea. Seaside OMBAK Cafe's was good, especially we could swim till night, and has a chance to witness sunset with great Singapore's view ahead from the cafe/villa.
Had a chance to do morning walk/jog, playing basket ball.
As it feels like villa in the forrest, mosquito is regular friend -> but ressort provide mosquito protective lotion. Room is kind a old wood, and need more details cleaning regularly, or also fogging.
Over all, it still recommended to spend time here.

The website looks great .. especially for the price! But the rooms are terrible, filthy , ripped bed sheets dirty mattress and linen .. that really put me off instantly. The bathrooms need a full makeover! Shame as a good size but just need some real love!! The location is good for the ferry but the area is very quiet and remote . The resort has water sports but sadly no beach so it’s pool or nothing. The breakfast was good, lunch there is only that same restaurant available which is fine for a short stay but longer and I think it would be an issue . The pool was nice , the net hammocks on the jetty are very cool especially at sunset . But the small lagoon infront of the wooden hut apartments is bleak. The best part for us was the bar for sunset Great as had a different food menu and some music ( all though crazy loud when opens ) but doesn’t open til 4.30 so it’s not like you can chose that for lunch! There was a beautiful temple / statue on the property that I was told people come to visit . This was very impressive to see , the tiny shop next to however was the only other place to grab a drink very limited snack in the day and was cash only which was tricky . For a one night stay it’s totally fine and a bargain but more isn’t ideal. We were told there was a beach ten mins away but private and there is a cost to use it plus no snorkelling so we decided to stay put and just chill by the pool. The staff were good very nice and friendly . the transfer was brilliant from the ferry terminal. It looked to me that there was maybe some refurbish happening along the jetty, maybe with a little TLC the resort would be a pleasant short trip location for someone exploring Batam and the surrounding islands .

The little camper van touch was cute , they were selling coconut water from there I was told . Very nice addition

I stayed here for one night with my boyfriend a week ago and it was good place, facilities and breakfast( we paid only like $88) Didn’t know but there is a shuttle bus runs from the airport to the hotel for free of charge and actually it’s not very far also. If you try to go to the city then it take a about 30min to go by taxi.
You can see Marina Bay Sands from the bar and very cozy place. There is no blocking view and no crowds.... but the other ppl mentioned already there is not many facilities here. They have only one pool and Marin activities which you need to pay.
Staying here for one day is pretty enough for us to enjoy but if more than 2days then don’t know what to do..... However overall, the hotel very good and breakfast was nice, cozy bar, wooden room with sea view.. all very good for family and couples for one day relaxation:))

Normally hotels check in time are 2pm but this one is 3pm and you really have to wait till then. Even though there are few staffs in reception, there is only one person handling check-in so you have to queue also. After we waited for 3pm to check in, we are assigned to the room near the end of the room stretch. I booked a room at sea front villa and I didn’t take note of the room size. The room size claims to be 14m square is occupied with a queen size bed. The width of the room is a queen size bed and a small coffee table each at bedside. The length of the room is the length of queen size bed plus 1 to 2 feet. It is incredibly small and no wonder it was cheap. There’s no wardrobe. The small balcony is shared with adjoining room. The balcony area was separated with small wooden screen. You can hear the music playing from neighboring room(which is not even adjoining to your room), so imagine if your adjoining room neighbor are noisy you will be suffered. The room is only good for sleep in at night cos it is too small. I wouldn’t recommend it to family or someone who like to chill. Not recommend for solo travelers cos the rooms looks like rustic cabin in the forest. After I set foot to the room for about 5min and I observed these. So we go up to reception and check if we can change room to bigger size one with extra money and the reception said , they all booked up. Since I don’t know how it will turn out next, I sourced for another hotel and checked out from there without staying. I learned my lesson of how small 14m2 room can be with the cost of 80 dollars plus. Since the hotel is not near to any amenities, they have their own bar, restaurant and convenience store. It will cost around 90k rupiah grab fee to get to Batam central.

“I would like to thank Mr. Randy for his assistance with our booking; however, our stay at KTM Resort Batam was overall disappointing, with several significant service issues.
1. Inconvenient Buggy Hours: The buggy service closes at 9:30 pm, which was extremely inconvenient as we were traveling with a baby and my 65-year-old mother. Extending the hours would make a huge difference for families who may need transportation after hours. 2. Restrictive Towel Policy: Despite booking an extra bed for our group of 6 adults and 1 child, we were only given six towels. The restrictive towel policy made us feel uncomfortable, as if we might misuse them. Given the extra bed we paid for, this seemed unreasonable. 3. Unreasonable Cleaning Charge: When my baby accidentally vomited a small amount of food on the bed, the hotel informed us there would be an extra charge for cleaning—without even attempting to wash it first. It was only food and unlikely to stain, and this added charge seemed unnecessary and unfair. 4. Poor Water Heater Quality: The water heater barely worked, making showers uncomfortably cold. This basic service falling short was particularly disappointing. 5. Unhelpful Staff: The staff was not as accommodating as we had hoped. Each request felt like an inconvenience to them, leaving us feeling unwelcomed. 6. Limited Pool Amenities: At the pool, we weren’t allowed an extra ball for our group of seven, and, once again, only six towels were provided. 7. Overpriced Food: We found the food prices to be unreasonably high, adding to the overall dissatisfaction with our stay.
We left feeling deeply let down and would not recommend KTM Resort Batam to family and friends. There is potential here, but it’s clear the service and hospitality need serious improvement.”

We (10) stayed at KTM resort for 2 nights. We had 2 of 2 room apartments and 1 bedroom sea facing apartment
The resort surrounding areas are very nice especiallly sitting at the balcony overlooking the sea. Staff were helpful and friendly and no language issues.
The 2 rooms apartment have only 4 cups n kettle nothing else. Only given 2 bathtowels. Please note no face towel at all. A quarter roll of toilet paper.
The apartments lighting are so dim, not enough light at all. Water pressure to bath, another issue, very hard to adjust the water temperatute. It either gets very hot or cold.
The phone system, we had 1 room apartment, the phone can only recieves incoming call?

Excellent location from Sekupang ferry, resort will kindly shuttle you to and from the ferry. Perfect for a chilled few days by the pool. The boys enjoyed an escorted jet ski ride. Food is varied and good quality. The staff are extremely polite and happy to help. We had a 2 bed villa at the top of the hill with great views, we often made use of the electric golf cart/buggy to take us up after dinner!

We travelled as a grp and got rooms facing hills. The windows are frosted with curtains, so there is nothing much to see anyway. Room is simple and rustic, made with wood planks. Slightly dusty room but generally still acceptable. Toilet is kind of small, the shower is just next to the toilet bowl so everything gets wet. Bed is comfy tho, we slept relatively well for 2 nights. The variety for breakfast is acceptable, a mixture of Indonesian and western. Do take note that breakfast area is an open area, sand as the flooring.Buggy rides were available most of the time when we requested. The service staff were the star of our stay, from the reception, drivers to the cleaners! They were courteous, friendly and everyone had a smile for us, this is a reason why I gave the resort 4 stars.

Firstly i cannot say enough about the staff. They are brilliant, attentive and cannot do enough to help you. If u want to relax this place is good. The restaurant is also great with the juices amazing. With all this i have to say the deluxe villas are a bit run down. Showers are a bit of a let down and walls thin as it appears a normal villa has been split in two. It is also a bit of a drive 100000 rupiah taxi each way to the major malls. Although speaking with one of the awesome staff they are building new rooms soon. Overall we enjoyed it greatly.

2. Only the restaurant and the bar restaurant for options but food choices are good enough for me and buffet breakfast is great
3. Transfer to Sekupang is free but make sure you book ahead with the hotel
4. Hmm.. not sure... There is a small play ground and a pool. Saw lots of kids playing in the pool ... about 7-8 years of age .. although there is no kids pool
