First of all, I have to give an appreciation to the security guard who helped me in finding parking in the courtyard of this hotel, he is very friendly and seems like to chat. In the moment of many disappointing things at this hotel, its hospitality brings something refreshing in this hotel. What's wrong with this hotel? Not much. Why am I giving the title above "Hotel that will not go anywhere"? Because they have the raw material to be an excellent hotel, but, sorry to say, will not go anywhere. First, the car park was very limited, before getting parking in the yard, I parked my car outside the hotel. Secondly, by the time I check in at night, there is a live band in the hotel restaurant and his voice is very disturbing. The third one, the room is too small, the window of the room does not use curtains but wooden cover that can move left and right, very strange. Furthermore, bathrooms that use the shower but combined with the use of bath-up. In conclusion, will I return to stay here? I do not think so. thanks.

Bad luck if you are going to Medan-it isn't the greatest city in Indonesia! However if you are passing through to see some of the other attractions in Sumatra then this isn't a bad place to stay for a night.
The rooms are clean and comfortable.
The biggest anoyance is in the breakfast bar area in the morning where the is no consideration for non smokers.
The hotel is close to convenience stores and not far from the mosque and palace.

Don't stay here if you have asthma or don't like the smell of cigarette smoke because it's everywhere, even in the bedrooms and the restaurant. Took ages to get an omelette at the egg station, and unless you are down for breakfast in time, the selection is very soon limited. There was a toast station but no bread but plenty of juice, coffee etc and some fresh fruit. Be warned.

I stayed here on the first and last night of a group tour. On arrival, they had no record of the group tour booking and I had to ring the head office on my own mobile to double check. Turns out the list was right behind the desk. Just what you want after a long journey.

Room was very small, noisy and ineffective air conditioning. The bar is dry and non-alcoholic drinks over priced. The hotel is fully smoking which penetrates every pore of the hotel. The second night we stayed here you could hardly see your way through the lobby due to smoke. Absolutely disgusting for a non-smoker.

Breakfast food would be ok if (1) you weren't surrounded by smoke and (2) the outside area is literally on top of the swimming pool. You have to question why they even have a pool as you can't imagine wanting to use it and be on full view of the bar and restaurant area...

Avoid at all costs.

I have stayed at this hotel a lot for 6 years, and on my last trip before I exit from my work stint in Indonesia I had the worst experience in this hotel. Just as you look forward to going back to the room after a long and tiring day out in the rural areas for work, but I discovered my luggage has been looked through and my worst fears came true. One of my post valuable item, a gift from my family, an iPod was missing along with the cable and casing and accessories. If a hotel room cant even provide safety and security when you leave for the day, I dont even feel secured sleepign at night too. Apparently I was not the only victim. One of my clients, also complained that her locks were being broken at her luggage. Apparently, Housekeeping or whoever was really on a 'shopping spree' to get as many valuables they can get. So, if you really have to stay here, please lock your bags and dont leave anything valuable in your room while you are out.

We hoped (from the pictures) to come to a very nice place, and we looked forward to lay by the swimmingpool. We came and the staff was okay, but the staff was'nt really speaking english... we ordered some food but got the wrong drinks than what we ordered... ok no biggie... we went to the pool for a swim but there were no sunbeds, so we layed on the stonefloor on our towels. While we were swimming around we busted on of the staffs filming os on the phone!... we slept nice though in comfortable beds, but when we went to breakfast it was soooo crowded and filled with screaming kids... not a good experience and i think you can find way better placed for the money!

This hotel is big, centrally located. Tons of nearby food. The good thing here is, they've refurbished the rooms -- not necessary the hallways, but the rooms are updated with flat screen TV and compact air cond.

The bathroom, however, cannot be any smaller, so shower splash hits everywhere and the place is wet. We called housekeeping for tissue (because they weren't any) - it never arrived.

Breakfast food is basic but abundant. We were there for a night.

All in all, nothing much to shout at, but nothing much to complaint.

I missed my slippers and short at the hotel after leaving hotel at October 16, 2016. I realized them after arriving home and very sure that slippers and short were missing. the next day I called the hotel and asked if there was left in my room? the hotel said it will be checked shorly and wait for calling.
after waiting for two days the hotel said there's nothing left in the room that I stayed before. when I plan on going to Medan again and stay at the same hotel but I was forced to abort the intention and find another hotel that is more reliable. Carefully stay at this hotel.

We had booked a superior tripple room but upon arrival no reservation was found and the hotel dit not have any tipple rooms, although they confirmed it.
The night manager looked at us as a cow to a train and after a long discussion they came with a dirty matress, threw it on the ground. That was our tripple.
The room and Bathroom was dirty and smelled like mould, We had only 1 tiny bottle of Shower gel (for 3 persons).
please be aware with the title "superior" room, we later noticed that the cheapest rooms are the superior rooms.
The food at breakfast was very poor and service was done by a massive group of trainees.

So very unreal in a country where they are generally very friendly, have great service, were the food is fantastic,

so please look at another hotel

I stayed here with a tour company called G Adventures in June 2015. Unfortunately for Sumatra this is as good as it gets. The hotel smelled strongly of cigarette smoke and in order to use the WiFi you had to be in the lobby, which is fine, but the electrical wiring is hanging out from the ceiling below the couches in the lobby and makes buzzing and crackling noises like you are going to be electrocuted. The power goes out frequently, and that is common for Sumatra in general, but you would expect a hotel to have a generator when this happens. Every time there was a power outage I'd have to get a new room key. For some reason the power going out caused my room key to stop working. The front desk acted like this was my fault. In my one night stay we had 3 power outages. Compared to Western standards this isn't that great of a hotel- a 2 maybe- if I compare it to Indonesian standards maybe I would rate it a 3.
