We stayed here on our last night at Medan and we were impressed with the front lobby. But as soon as we checked in, they didnt provide the triple room we requested during reservation. I had to call twice and only after dinner they sent in extra bed which was already cramped in the small room. The shower was so... More

Old furniture, old carpets and smell of smoke everywhere. The rooms are very noisy, from the nearby mosque (it goes on and on for long periods of time) and from the traffic outside. The food is poor, except the breakfast witch is ok. The bar does not have any alcohol, not even a beer. They have live music of karaoke... More

This is a basic 80s looking hotel that provides minimal facilities. We stayed here for the last night of our trip and found the hotel to be very noisy and busy with people. Room was very basic, simple and somewhat clean for Medan's standard. Smell of cigarettes were apparent and untolerable in our room. Expect noise from the heavy traffic... More

I stayed here on the first and last night of a group tour. On arrival, they had no record of the group tour booking and I had to ring the head office on my own mobile to double check. Turns out the list was right behind the desk. Just what you want after a long journey. Room was very small,... More

We recently stayed here both at the start of a tour and returned the final night of the tour, it has put serious doubts in my mind as to the calibre of the tour organiser. The first night the room was not so bad but did however stink of cigarettes. Luckily I had packed some citrus freshener and applied this... More

The Hotel is dirty, many hotels in Indonesia are dirty, but the Garuda is one in the Top list. Smoke smell is everywhere, the carpets are ages old. The furniture of two rooms I stayed seemd from the 60s. Wifi was not working. I specifically asked a room with Wifi working, they changed my room ... and the wifi was... More

I have to admit that I am pleased to have stayed in GPH last month, Nov 2013. I have to admit that the traffic in the hotel is quite high. Aside from those staying in the hotel, there are function, seminars etc. non stop in the hotel. However, let me go thru one by one. 1. I booked for Executive... More

We stayed 2 nights at this Hotel. Location is great...just a 5 minutes walk to Yuki Mall (cheaper than Pasar Ikan) and Amaliun Food Court. Near Istana Maimoon too. Check in was fast and smooth. Staff are friendly. But Superior Room is too small even for 2 pax. Problem arise when my son informed me that they only have 2... More
