Had a really nice stay at K77 guesthouse. Basic room but very clean and a good shared bathroom. Had no problems travelling to the airport by tuk tuk and train which was relatively quick and cheap. Lots of interesting restaurants nearby and the breakfast provided at the guesthouse was nice. Was perfect for my one night stop over in Medan.

This guesthouse run by Johan and Lola is very handy for a night between arriving at the airport and heading out to explore Sumatra. Clean room, a shared bathroom that is being cleaned multiple times a day, a very nice breakfast and well organised airport transfer on request. It's situated next to some mosques which exposes guest to the early morning prayers. It would have been nice to be advised prior to arrival that accommodation and transfer have to be paid in cash upfront before getting access to the room. Trying to get money from the ATM around the corner after an overnight flight in the humid heat of Medan is something that I personally would have preferred to do after a short rest and a shower. But overall very positive and absolutely good value for money. I'll be back again before flying out of Medan end of the month.

I always laugh when people comment "they were so helpful and helped with tour booking"..LOL THIS hostel may be cheap but the location is far from everything and they totally overcharge for any tour. I only asked for transport and they did not even want to give me the price. They right away tried to sell me A tour /trek Which includes transport. Also the price of just transport was higher than what a nice hotel in Medan city charged.

Very clean and very nice hostel. The vibe in the hostel is very homey and relaxed. Lola really helped us with what to see and how to go around the city. The breakfast was awesome! If ever back in Medan I will absolutely stay here again! (Location is near Mosques so being earplugs 😉)

I was here with a group of 6, for just one night. Very friendly staff! Good rooms and perfect breakfast. Only downside was the very loud mosque next door, but I already expected that from other reviews. Would definitly ga back again. Airport pick up went perfect as well.

This little place is an oasis in the craziness of Medan! We only stayed here for one short night but it was a really enjoyable night. This is definitely budget accomodation (see price), so you can’t expect anything fancy... what you can expect though is an amazing owner who goes above and beyond to make your stay great. She is very friendly and helpful! I was pleasantly surprised at how clean the accomodation was - it was SPOTLESS! The bed was very comfy and aircon worked well. Overall, we loved our short stay here and if we ever find ourselves in Medan again we wouldn’t hesitate to book here.

We stayed here 3 times for 1 night. The ownesr, Johan and Lola are very friendly and thay can give answer on most of our questions. The rooms are basic with a shared and clean bathroom. The shower water is cold, but with the high temperatures from Medan it doen not matter. The beds are clean with claen sheets. There is a mosque nearby, compared with other guesthouses on other places in Sumatra, it is not so noisy. We had a room on the upper floor. The bathroom is big, there is sink outside the bathroom. Breakfast is extra for 30.000. There is fresh fruit, we never had it in another hotel/guesthouse in Sumatra. Free coffee and thea during the day. A place to recommend

I visited this guesthouse in Medan just for one day and stayed in a single room. It had just the essentials: there were 2 shared bathrooms (cold water shower), and in the room there was a large bed, a small table, air conditioning, and you could even watch tv. What really should be mentioned is that this place is really really clean! The hostess is incredibly nice. She told me all about Medan and my options when traveling on. She arranged a shared car for me to Bukit Lawang, I didn't have to do anything myself. Breakfast was amazing! You had to pay extra, but that was really worth it. Would definitely recommend this place when visiting Medan.

This is a lovely place to stay - house is clean and tidy with 2 shared bathrooms. Rooms are really good sizes. The family who live there cannot do enough for you!! We stayed 4 nights which was longer than we needed to be in Sumatra but the guest house itself was great - had everything you needed and more.

Myself and two friends stayed in a family room for one night. The owners were extremely friendly and helpful, helping us organising a taxis from the airport to their guest house. Our flight was delayed and so we arrived very late however we still got a friendly welcome. The breakfast the next day was great- the best scrambled eggs of our trip and delicious fresh fruit. Would highly recommend them and would go back again.
