The staff were friendly and helpful and always with a smile. Food was great! Best breakfast options I have ever seen! The pool was a lot of fun with our children and the life guard was great too, he really helped out with all kids in the pool being attentive and friendly with parents. The rooms were very clean and disinfected , I personally saw the cleaning crew clean extra careful each morning with sprays and disinfectants. The hotel gives each room a package with masks and wipes and alcohol gel bottles! Would highly recommend and come back! Thanks Herods Herzliya!
We are currently here for our third day... This is definitely not a five star hotel. No comment on the location and the view (awesome, marina/beach etc) but: 1. We arrived at 4:30 pm expecting our suite to be ready (as it should be). There were 20 angry people at the reception yelling that rooms weren’t ready and receptionists that weren’t exactly eager to help. I’m heavily pregnant with two kids, they just let us wait standing up at the reception for 45 min telling us every few minutes that it will be ready soon. When we finally got it, there were no towels. 2. Breakfast/dinner is a real disappointment. Buffets in Israel are famously lavish, yet this one is tiny and offers very little variety. Can’t say we had any pleasure dining. 3. Lunch: options are limited to three items: pizza or tuna sandwich from lobby bar (yes, that’s it) or fried chicken and fries from room service. This is insane. 4. The pool area is clearly too small for the amount of people at the hotel and feels very cramped. There is a pool bar that has a single food item: tuna sandwich. When we decided to order room service, there was no answer even though we asked to be put through via reception once and via guest services the second time. Still no answer.... 5. Room service forgot to replace towels on first day (took away all towels, didn’t give us new ones) and forgot to replace tea/coffee on the second. 6. Loud speaker on the room ceiling suddenly started blasting classical music in the afternoon (obviously at the exact time kids trying to sleep). When asked, guest services told us it was a fire drill that would last 5 min. It lasted 45. 7. Pool area is gross. I know the guests are partially to blame but come on. Cigarette buds on the floor and food left behind... Can’t believe we come to a five star place and actually have to go to the supermarket to get food so our kids eat something more than sandwiches. I realize it’s August and it’s PACKED but this is insane.…
My family stayed at this hotel for the last 6 days of 2019. The hotel itself was very nice and the staff was very helpful. The breakfast buffet one of the best we experienced in our multi city trip. Unfortunately due to the time of the year we were not able to use the pool as it was raining and/or cold during most of our stay. I would have liked to use the sauna after my workouts but apparently it could only be accessed by going outside and a small fee applied which was a first for me. No real issue there I would have paid but even a short walk outside was a poor design. We had 4 rooms and upon check out there was a small over charging on some of our Friday night meals. The invoice I received on checkout belonged to another family member and I paid it not realizing that as it had only our last names on it and multiple rooms listed. When I returned to Canada i emailed the hotel the first week of January and what ensued afterwards was a complete breakdown of any real accountability or care in resolving the billing issue. My first few emails went unanswered for weeks. I then called the hotel and they said that the general email box I was given was not the best place and to email another individual. Then that email was unanswered for weeks. Then I called the front desk again and asked for the manager and they said he is not a available to email a third person. This person finally did respond but was so confused they had no idea how many people we had on our visit across all of our rooms even though they had asked to see each of our passports at check in. They then asked me to send them our invoices which I did. The response was more directing blame at us in that we did not total the meals correctly and that we did not have our prices for the children correct even though the front desk gave us a small discount for the kids when we booked the Friday night meals. This was insulting as they did not even know how many people we had at the meals they kept getting it wrong and so clearly have no proper record keeping. Anyways multiple calls later and they finally agreed that they did overcharge us but that they could not credit me back until the manager returned and he was away for a little while. That was in February 2019 and I have given up on calling and emailing as they truly just do not care to resolve their billing issues. We have family in the area and we will be booking our next visit with another hotel, certainly not anything I have experienced at any hotel before or since. Billing issues happen but are usually rectified in a few weeks or less but it is now 4 months later and they had their opportunity before the COVID virus hit the industry.…
This is either a fine hotel that hit some potholes during our stay or a hotel on the decline. We were given a first floor room with a patio directly accessible from an open, non-secured back walkway between the hotel and an adjacent apartment building. The bathroom floor was dirtier than we would expect for the price. The bathroom mirror was losing its silvering on the bottom. The bathroom door trim was rusty at the floor. But worst of all was the lack of air conditioning. The front desk told us the entire hotel is in heating mode with no means of cooling the room through the ventilation system. And it was well above 80 degrees in the room. So we had to choose between leaving the sliding door open all night with anyone able to enter from the street or sweltering. A lousy choice to face. No help came from the desk despite our going and asking about it three times. On the other hand, the dinner buffet was truly excellent.…
This is a contemporary hotel right at the Herzliya marina. The rooms ar nice and clean, with hair dryers, robes, and slippers. You'll need to get a cab to get into Herzliya. Our stay was with a group, which included breakfast and dinner, both which were very nice. A beach was at the end of the marina which was a short walk from the hotel.
