I was looking for a nice hotel to celebrate our golden wedding anniversary, and the Drisco fitted the bill nicely. I was very lucky to book directly by phone with Igor. He was very attentive and professional, and also got me a much better deal than the one published online. Thank you so much, Igor. When we checked in, we were very pleasantly surprised that we've been upgraded to their nicest room, with a sea view and a balcony. The room was very well appointed, spotless clean, with a powerful rain shower. The bed linens were the best quality ever. The breakfast was very tasty, fresh and plentiful. We very much enjoyed the top notch service from every one, which made our stay memorable and very fitting the once in a life time occasion. I'd like also to thank Yuval for resolving very quickly a slight problem I had with my credit card, and taking care very professionally of a glitch with the restaurant. Highly recommended.

After a 5 day stay at the Drisco I can tell you that the hotel is a true dream. Hezi the hotel manager “or as we call him Jessie “ is the most amazing kind man. My mother and I had such a wonderful time we wanted to take Hezi home with us. This hotel is spotless, runs beautifully and makes you feel welcome at every turn. The staff including Yotem really care about their jobs and just want to help. Thanks Hezi and team we will be running back soon!!! Regards , Richard

Beautiful, historical hotel. Centrally located right between Tel Aviv and Jaffa and 5 min to the beach. Rooms can be a bit tight but are newly furnished and very clean. Hezi the hotel manager is great and very supportive with tips and sightseeing suggestions (for Tel Aviv and Jerusalem.) Greatest strength: culinary. The restaurant was a highlight, ask for a table on the patio.

Phenomenal and discreet service. Superb dinner at George & John, the restaurant hotel, excellent and plentiful daily breakfasts with interesting versions of so many dishes, lovely happy hours, and overall stellar service. The Drisco’s Manager, Hezi Talay, adds greatly to the wonderful experience of being a guest at the Hotel. He is a consummate professional, ensures that every guest feels welcome and offers wonderful stories about the Hotel’s and the area’s rich history. He also manages to host the lovely happy hour each evening while creating a very warm environment, like a small cocktail party. The staff is friendly, warm and helpful. Our room was beautiful and well-appointed, with large bottles of complimentary Tequila, Cognac and Scotch, as well as Nespresso coffee. A perfect experience!

As a member of the Leading Hotels of the World, the Drisco offers charming low-key ambiance and a friendly, helpful staff. On my first day, reception manager Yuval took me on a tour of the historic neighborhood, while recounting the history of the hotel, which surprisingly once hosted Mark Twain. Hotel manager Jessy not only hosted a nightly happy hour for guests, but after I expressed an interest in theater, he also helped me get a ticket for a theatrical production that took place in the nearby streets. As for the hotel’s restaurant, George & John is excellent and so popular that it's a good idea to make reservations in advance. While not a vegetarian restaurant, a vegetarian such as myself couldn’t have been happier as the tortellini. ratatouille, artichoke skewers and focaccia were so delicious that I had nearly the same dinner twice. The hotel is a short walk from the Ottoman Clock Tower, the waterfront and the old city of Jaffa, both the ancient city and a concentration of streets packed with outdoor cafés, restaurants, bakeries, clothing boutiques, galleries, antique shops and a busy flea market. One afternoon in this area, on a street painted with murals and lined with cafés, I got to sample my boureka while watching a silent disco, i.e., a group dancing to their own music on their headphones.

Very dirty room toilet which seemed like someone puked or had some nasty diarrhea there and obviously housekeeping did not clean properly before our stay. Totally gross and unhygienic. Breakfast which was included was also pretty bad. Not worth the price.

This Hotel is located close to the beach and the old city of Jaffa, but also the northern quarters (Rothshild Blv., Dizengoff Street or the Carmel market are reachable in a 30min walk. The building is beautifully and obsessed with the details renovated in its original design of 1866, but combined with all the modern and comfortable amenities of today. But most important is the outstanding and heartwarming friendliness of every single staff member. We loved our stay so much that we definitely will choose The Drisco for our next visit again.

Usually we don´t write any reviews but in case of The Drisco Hotel Tel Aviv we simply had to. Everything was perfect: Starting with a smooth check-in having a welcome drink. The American - German colony area where the hotel is situated, the restored hotel building, the unique individual room with marble bathroom and wooden balcony next to a bengal fig tree. Great rooftop terrace with views of the historic neighbourhood and the sea plus happy hour wine and fingerfood in the evening. Delicious breakfast with freshly prepared hot dishes at the famous George & John restaurant. Don´t miss to have dinner at the award-winning restaurant! Fresh modern Israeli cuisine as its best. Our special thanks to Hotel Manager Hezi Talay, Daniel and of course to all other helpful and friendly staff dedicated to their guests! We will come back again!
