Spent a weekend in December. The location, food and spa treatments are the winning points. The overall experience is poor due to the lack of attention to basic maintenance issues as well as staff attitude. The Canaan Spa is located on Mount Canaan in Safed in a quiet spot that was considered a prime hotel spot in the 70's (there...

I have spent the whole morning trying to get through to the Hotel - I have called five times and left messages and each time (when I wasn't cut off or left on hold for half an hour!) I was told that someone would call back. I spoke both in Hebrew and English. The attitude was unhelpful and rude. They...

This was our second time, my father knows to ask the front desk for the key for the synagogue when he wants to pray in the morning. He asked on this particular stay if he could have the key to open he room. The man said it was already open and he didn't need one. My father returned to the...

After a very exhausting month with constant visitors, we had no energy. We decided to spend a weekend at the spa. Our first time there. We read the reviews and arrived there not expecting much. I had also booked an hour and half antiaging facial. We arrived early and although our room was not ready we were able to use...

We took a chance and went anyway. We were very pleasantly surprised. Everything was very clean and there is a serene atmosphere in the whole place. The food was great, and we thoroughly enjoyed the pool. We only stayed for one night, but next time, we hope to stay longer.

We stayed there Friday afternoon to Saturday night on half board basis. It's true to say that the hotel needs some renovation however we knew that in advance. We took a junior suite and were happy with it. The food on the Friday night and was amazing. I can't think where I was offered Duck as part of the meal...

When I asked my friend about this hotel he answered me 3 words. ..He said It is tired. And it is. All the facilities work and it is generally clean but you can see no major investment is being made. The carpet in the lobby is older than the one at my grandparents house. There is an empty aquarium in...

From the reviews on the site we were not expecting too much but were quite pleasantly surprised. Yes, as stated on other reviews the hotel has seen better days and is a bit tired but this did not detract from our enjoyment. In the steam room some of the seats are cracked and should be fixed, which proper maintenance should...
