The hotel is livable but it's not great. Rooms are small and it's a long way from the town centre. The restaurant, in addition, is alright, but once again isn't great. Arcadia Hotel is definitely a budget over luxury hotel.
A long way to walk down and up again if you want to go see the city. Hotel is poor, from rooms to restaurant. no drapes on the window in a residential neighborhood, be aware, AC made a lot of noise, shower was also bad. Rooms are not very well cleaned and the whole hotel including the old elevators had a nad odor. WiFi only in the lobby and works randomly. We were part of a group tour otherwise I would never pick up this hotel. Hotel is far up the hill from the city centre. You are better off to take a cab but drivers will ask what they want. The restaurant is as good as the hotel. Hurry up at diner because they will out of food. Same with the welcome cocktail, was not enough for everybody in the group. It is a basic hotel, we were there for 2 nights mid May, fortunately.
The new rooms (we had a whole bunch of them, including the jacuzzi room), very stylish. However I think they were not built with much thought in them. There are no curtains over the windows leaving the light in a daybreak. A glass toilet door that leaves little to the imagination.... a little below the belt (excuse the pun). No small light that won't make the bedroom to bright, and over sabbath this means either pitch black or totally bright. It was eye clean, but don't walk on that floor barefoot! Food was great and service not to bad.
We stayed 2 nights.our rooms were in a place away from the main building.there was horrible smell on the corridor.the front office staff were not very welcoming.the housekeeping never cleaned the rooms.the good was just okay..will not recommend this hotel
It was definitely livable, but could have been so much better. Our two-person room was extremely cramped, we couldn't walk from one side of the room to the other without stepping over furniture. Our shower did not look clean, it had hair in it from the previous guest. Everything was definitely lower class, water stained etc. the food in the restaurant was a plus, it was good and had nice variety, especially for dessert.
We had a very satisfying welcome by Hadad at the reception, he wisely understood that we were assigned to a family room when in fact we were 4 adults, so immediatly and with no intervention from our side, upgraded our room so it will fit much better our needs. Breakfast was very good and everything run smooth and nice.
I am visiting his hotel frequently as a tour guide in Israel. Last time I was there was yesterday. It is a nice hotel for those who don't want to spend too much money in Tiberias. The staff is friendly and very caring and would help you also beyond their duty. The rooms are clean. Down-points: Not much parking space (a problem with many hotels in Israel), on top of that they are now renovating the hotel, which makes a bit of a mess, and it is far away from the lake and city center, so you need either to take a taxi or walk for 20 minutes down, and then up again...
Before leaving home for Israel, I checked on this hotel comments. I was a bit apprehensive with what I read. But when I arrived, the facade is bright, so with their entrance lobby. Refreshingly welcoming. Seemed to be freshly repainted. Our baggages were brought to our rooms. Reception personnel were very friendly. Food was delicious like home cooking of grandma. Served hot . Lots of varieties for a 3 star hotel. Personnel were gracious & friendly. Location is on a hillside but good for a walk to the lakeside of Galilee \ Tiberias. Only not pleasant for an uphill with walking difficulties. Taxis are everywhere for 5 euros, good alternative for a return to the hotel. Room given to us was on the refurbished part of the hotel facing the lovely Tibetan hills with a veranda. Evening view was just spectacular. Room is just perfect, modern and clean. Love it. An outdoor simple swimming pool can refreshed you when the temperature soared up to 40+ degrees when we were there. Wifi is free in the room. In one word of my 3 nights stay, satisfied. I will choose this hotel for a come back. Recommendable !…
This hotel is located slightly above the od town and the lake and is a good base to explore Galilee. Very good and abundant breakfasts, modest rooms and nice reception staff. Wifi is not performing well.
The hotel is split to 2 parts, one of it is renovated the second one is old, dirty and not nice at all. Breakfast is terrible (they should renovate eating area!), the outdoor architecture is nice. The staff was not very friendly. I could recommend it to larger groups, but not to leisure travellers. Even if one part is nicely renovated when you enter the breakfast you start feeling like in early 80's.
