To help understand this review I'll preface by noting that we're aged 60+ & have stayed in countless hotels around the world - Israel included. The good news: 1) cleanliness - a top priority for us - was simply out of this world, the staff really deserves applause (especially since this bright spot covered up signs that the sizeable room, bathroom & mattress, showing advanced signs of wear); 2) food - breakfast & dinner - was beyond satisfactory; 3) outdoor pool a good size & meets a swimmer's need (provided other guests don't hog the middle), there's also a nice indoor thermal pool; 4) location perfect (albeit not much to do outside the hotel); 5) great view of lake from room (tip: ask for left side of hotel facing the lake on a high floor). The not-so-good-news: 1) dining room A - unsatisfactory level of cleanliness: cutlery, plates, cups, eating mats; 2) dining room B - probably what it feels like eating in the middle of a jungle (we personally saw guests grab food with their hands and even eat it off the table without a plate; 3) spa - recommend reserving massage early in their working day & NOT in the tiny "couples room" (if you're two together).…
Please was filthy. Contrary to “smoke free” claim, smoking was tolerated. We observed smoking in the spa and there were constant smells of it in the elevators. Air conditioning couldn’t be adjusted and repair person said it couldn’t be adjusted in any room. Manager, Ofer Sheetrit, was rude and condescending. Chaise lounges at pool were dirty and several had bird droppings.
Wonderful hotel ,wonderful service ,and a distinguished staff, with excellent treatment, excellent cleanliness ,and the diningroom is wonderful, diversification of food and very cleanliness we thank the crew individually for their hospitality
Excellent atmosphere, perfect outstanding service and the food is delicious and so varied. Above all, I was impressed by the policy to employ people with special needs or disables. So touching and human. The owner is blessed! I met him! My visitors from France already reserved for June. Take the suite. The price is more than fair. Money for value!
The positive: Excellent location, friendly and helpful staff, clean and comfortable room with lovely views of Tiberias and Sea of Galilee, great food, nice pool. Areas for improvement: 1. Furnishings could use a bit of an update but the last couple of years have clearly been challenging in the hospitality business so the management deserves a bit of understanding on this point. 2. Elevator capacity is inadequate for a hotel of this size, causing long waits and crowded rides. 3. Better parking arrangements than the current dependence on the public pay parking lot in front of the hotel.
This hotel was wonderfull! The rooms are roomy and cater for all needs. The food is out of this world and choices are amazing - even for people who have food issues - they are ready ! The staff are professional, helpfull and care about their guests!
The hotel is a bit dated but our room was clean and had a nice view of the lake. The staff were very friendly and helpful and the breakfast and dinner buffets were delicious and provided lots of choices.
We booked here after reading some of the reviews and seeing that it was classed as a ‘Top Rated’ on the Trip Advisors list….. There is not enough room to list ALL the things wrong with this hotel, but I can start, that the room needs a complete renovation. The water wouldn’t go down in the bath when taking a shower, the floor had crumbs all over it, however I will mention that the rest was clean. The aircon is so noisy that if you want to sleep you need to turn it off , then the room gets far too hot and it is not a good idea to open the door as there is no screen to prevent bugs flying in! Food, well….not bad plenty of choice but definitely not worthy of 5 ….. Some of the staff were good but generally they need a training course in ‘Guest Services’. If you can, book elsewhere !
Very nice hotel, really friendly staff, comfortable room overlooking the lake, breakfast & dinner were excellent. Great location, would go back there. Lots of shops & restaurants nearby, would recommend The Deck
Great experience, the food was good and the view is beautiful. We were with all of our family and it was fun and we had everything we needed, the room was good and we had a conference room to celebrate our event together. Thank you for great service
