We booked 2 nights in the oldest building directly from their website. Emailed a few times ahead of our stay with questions - management was very detailed in their replies. Comfortable, quiet lodging with excellent air conditioning. Free on-site parking for our rental car. Our stay included breakfast and dinner. The dinner spread is excellent! Staff is super friendly & helpful, especially Daniella, Oscar and the front desk managers and porters. The resort pool is a gem. We appreciated how it stays open until 7pm as we enjoyed a full hour just floating in it (after a long and thrilling day of driving around the entire lake visiting Holy Land and Golan spots). The gardens/grounds are just exquisite. I'm so glad we had time each evening to relax and enjoy The Scots Hotel. Worth it!…
An unusual stone hotel owned by the Church of Scotland. Plaid upholstery and scotch whiskey abound! Fabulous buffet breakfasts & dinners! Pleasant service. Very pretty gardens. Rooms felt a bit tired, outdated, dark and stuffy. Though bathrooms were well-outfitted they were small and probably 25 years old. No fluffy towels or kids here but there were lots of retiree travelers.
Exquisite hotel: I stayed one night at this wonderful hotel located just above the sea of Galilee. The location is fabulous and the hotel it self is charming with it’s several buildings and a gorgeous garden. The staff is very attentive and polite and does it with a smile without intruding. A slight problem I had in my extraordinary spacious room, was immediately solved to my satisfaction. The room I stayed in -606- was an antique type room overlooking to the lake. Had all necessary comforts and indulgence like an apron bed with 4 pillars bed, a reclaimer, a Nespresso coffee machine, a cold/hot water distiller, a large enough fridge, a safe, a writing desk and more. Adjacent was a spacious terrace with a lovely sitting area for relaxation. The hotel provides you with 2 meals- breakfast and dinner, both served in their beautiful restaurant overlooking a garden. Lot’s of food choices to dine, most of them delicious like a chef’s restaurant- and it’s quite tricky, since they are served in a buffet style. The receptionist-Peter- was so kind, and adjusted my rate, without me having to ask for it- to a single rate, since my partner to this stay, cancelled the last minute. I highly recommend this hotel to all people looking for a truly relaxing time in one of the nicest hotels in Israel.…
A delightful gem in the heart of Tiberias. Magnificent surroundings with a rich history. Every member of staff welcoming, friendly and super helpful, room clean and comfortable , calm relaxing atmosphere throughout and a wide range of delicious dishes from the buffet meals. An added bonus was the spa and the wonderful and very professional massage from Olga K. (Ask for her!) This hotel is a must.
I only spent one night at the Scots, but I wish I could have stayed longer and enjoyed all the amenities. The property is stunning - a true oasis in the middle of a busy city. The rooms are lovely and well appointed. The breakfast and dinner included were delicious. The pool area is picturesque and well laid out. I would come back for sure.
Beautiful setting on the Sea of Galilee. Great and warm staff. Amazing spa and pool with umbrellas which I love since I don’t like hot sun all day. Incredible amazing dinner and breakfast. The food was so delicious! The only thing I didn’t love was the rooms where we slept. They are fine but the rest of the hotel is spectacular so the rooms Should match. Comfy beds but slightly in need of rehab. Will return for sure!
We were there once again for my wife's birthday. And once again we enjoy our stay there. The room was in a really good condition and clean. We found a red wine bottle with two wine glasses and also with a great view of the kinneret lake from the window.
We spent 2 nights here and truly enjoyed our stay. The buildings and grounds are beautiful, and the location is great. We found it very pleasant to relax in the garden after dinner. The breakfasts and dinners were delicious, and the selection of dishes was varied. For me, it was a nice change to have non-kosher food. I was very impressed by the fact that all the dishes at dinner were completely different each evening. The steak fillet on the first evening was to die for, and the shrimps and calamari dish was my personal favorite on the second evening. The staff was wonderful, and I'm happy to say that they were strict regarding COVID regulations. I truly hope to return to this wonderful hotel in the future.
Amazing hotel, one of the best we've ever been to. Attentive service, beautifully furnished room and high quality food. Room had a Nespresso machine which was a nice surpirse. Close proximity to beach, ATM machine, taxi and some 24/7 markets. Though area is not nice to walk around as many businesses closed due to COVID. Hotel not suitable for small kids. Lots of stairs and large distances between buildings so also not wheelchair accesible. Otherwise, very pampered service. Spa experience was great with some speacialized area for downtime right after spa. It seems they really thought of everything. Including super comfortable queen size bed, scented linen - a sort of oasis. Gated private parking. Would go there again only would recommend not going in the summer months as the weather is too unhospitable outdoors. 40 degrees forced us to stay indoors all the time. We had the half board deal and the food is absolutely first class. The dining room is pacious but you still get a very intimate feeling as it consists of several connected rooms. Room was cleaned to our satisfaction. There is no real lobby to hang around and nothing else to do besides the pool (too hot) or the spa or go outside (too hot). No mall near by and only several tourist traps looking miserable.…
The hotel is gorgeous - historical building beautifully renovated. From almost every corner there are amazing views of the sea of Galilee. The staff is very friendly and service oriented and is highly strict regarding COVID regulations (masks, "green passes" etc). The hotel is not Kosher which is highly uncommon in Israel but it also means that the buffet is excellent (seafood, desserts are not PARVE and there's decent coffee and freshly cooked food on Fridays and Saturdays). Also the cocktail bar is small, but they make really special cocktails. However, the place is not cheap and less suitable for children.
