The best thing about this place - the family who runs it! They will make you feel like "going home for Christmas". The older son is the best omelet maker! Great place for couples and families. Great view! If this is your choice, make sure you rent a car.

We stayed here for 3 days. The family running the guest house are extremely nice and helpful. When we told them that we are vegetarian, they prepared food especially for us. The streets get deserted by 6:30 and we got late one evening. They helped us by picking us up from the main road. Room was amazingly clean & very...

We spent a week here, departing from our base (for 2 months) in Mauritius, and soon realised it was an excellent choice. The family run business of husband (Charlie), wife (Marie Rose) and son (Denis) were extremely obliging in every way. Charlie is an excellent chef who uses the herbs/vegetable and fruit he grows from the garden in his cooking....

I stayed there for a night just before flying back home. It takes about 15min from the airport. It's located up the hill, so the view from the hotel is nice. There is nothing around the hotel. You can walk to the beach and it takes about 10-15min. The beach didn't look good though... The room was spacious, clean and...

We stayed for 2 nights at Albizia Lodge and had a wonderful, relaxing experience. Marie welcomed us so warmly and had taken extra care to put fresh flowers in our room. She and her husband cooked for us on the first night as we had travelled a long way. It was so delicious that we ate with them the second...

The house is located on the hillside with swimming pool and seaview. The food are so delicious, and the most important is, the information from the owner of the lodge are very useful to us as our first time trip to Seychelles. The rooms are tidy and comfortable. Sit on the balcony, enjoy a cup of coffee, see the seaview,...

To start with, I would like to thank Marie-Rose and Charlie, who did not miss any chance of helping us. We were on Honeymoon this May' 2016 and due to our flight delay from India, we requested them to shift our dates as we reached 2 days late. They did it without any second question or thoughts on such short...

Sent 2 nights there. The owners are very nice and welcoming. The breakfast is great and fresh. We tried the diner as well and I really recommend it, very good local cuisine. Lunch was good but a bit expensive for a club sandwich. The room is huge, renovated with new furnitures, well decorated. Private balcony facing the sea, amazing!! The...

It was just a great experience staying at the Albizia lodge. Marie and Charlie are great hosts and very helpful. The place is beautifully located and the view is fantastic. It's a home like place away from home. Going to Victoria and other places are very easy from this place. One can get the breakfast, lunch & dinner served here....

Have recently returned from a 9 night stay here. The accommodation is very comfortable and just what we were looking for of a Bed and Breakfast place. What makes this place great is the location on the side of a mountain in amongst a lush jungle and the family who run the place. Charlie, Marie-Rose, Dennis and Clara did everything...

Official Description (provided by the hotel)
Albizia Lodge is situated in a quiet location on the East coast of Mahe, on the mountain side of Green Estate at Aux Cap. We are surrounded by tropical green vegetation and creatures of nature such as flying fox, also known as fruits bats, as well as the blue pigeons and all sorts of birds that are endemic to the Seychelles. The airport is a short distance away, only a 7 minute drive to be more exact, making it an ideal place to stay for people in transit. Take a 5 minute drive and end up at one of the most wonderful beaches and snorkeling sites of Mahe called ‘Anse Royale’, and golf fans will be pleased to know that it is only a 5 minute walk from the Lodge to the only golf course on the island! The guesthouse is run by a most hospitable family and you can enjoy the best creole cuisine and any other special requests you may have. All the produces are fresh from the market or from the garden. Charlie, Marie-Rose, Denis and Clara are awaiting to welcome you in their little corner of paradise. ... more   less
