I visited this hotel on 21st sept with my husband and my infant baby. After 6 hours of travelling and reaching this hotel in the evening I was simply denied check-in by Mr. Prasad, the front office manager post having a confirmed booking from agoda. The reason given was that I was accompanied by an infant and kids are not...

Dear friends and future friends of Niyagama House, Here comes some advise from the greedy, unfriendly owner Elke: 1.) If you travel with an infant PLEASE check the hotel policies… yes, it is written on pages like Agoda.com or Booking.com, but all the way down after the beautiful pictures of the place in order to sell it better ;-))). 2.)...

Niyagama House is very pretty and tastefully furnished. It is filled with light and good books- I read two coffee table books on Sri Lankan architecture and tea when I was there- and the pool backed into local scrubs was a delight. We loved the yoga sessions, the nap-inducing massages, the delicious meals ( yummy green porridge for breakfast!) and...

The room was a good size, food was excellent, the swimming pool speaks for itself in the pictures and the staff were all very helpful. Whilst this place isn’t cheap it certainly one of the nicest places I have stopped. The location secluded but also not too far from Galle.

This property is a bit out of the centre but if you have a driver or a tuk tuk you'll be in the centre very quickly, for those without transport it's not recommended unless you want to stay in the hotel and enjoy the surroundings. On arrival the hotel gives a sense of peace, quiet and relaxation. The owner Elke...

This property & the location is AMAZING! Set amidst tea plantation and greenery, this boutique hotel is the perfect place if you want a weekend off from the chaos of city life. The hotel has been aesthetically done up and the service is impeccable. The hotel rooms, the lobby, the swimming pool, the breakfast area - all have been designed...

I arrived: stressed, frazzled, tired, aching, exhausted. I left: rested, rejuvenated, physically repaired and feeling good about life again. Elke took me in when I was on a low, physically and emotionally. She and her team looked after me with kindness, care, support and gentleness. Through a daily massage, delicious food, spending lots of chilled out time by the pool...

This is such a special place and we felt so lucky to have the opportunity to stay. There is such a wonderful atmosphere of calm and great kindness that truly rejuvenates. The property itself is incredible with amazing views, a phenomenal pool to relax by, superb, healthy food and very comfortable rooms. But we were truly touched by the service...

I stayed at the beautiful Niyagama House for just three nights which just was not long enough! I can't speak highly enough about the house, service, food, pool, yoga and meditation, it was all incredible. I left feeling like a new person. Such bliss and a magical experience, I'll definitely be back. Thank you so much Elke and team!

After 4 days of Camping, the Niyagama House was a perfect antidote for dirty, hot and tired bodies. We were dazzled by the beautiful architecture of the hotel when we arrived and even more impressed when we saw our room, a large and super comfortable space with our own balcony. The bathroom was huge and had a rain shower and...
