The rooms and bathrooms were ok, but pool is very tiny and didn't appear to be clean. Food was so-so and breakfast left a lot to be desired. Cheesy entertainment in the evening, followed by "pressure" to tip said cheesy entertainers. You get what you pay for at this place - we won't be staying there again.

A quiet haven to chill before or after hikes/safari. Cafe has yummy food, cold beer and kickass coffee. Wild variety of rooms. We stayed in 3 all the same price...2 were average and one was great. I suggest you look before settling on one.

Having booked Outpost Lodge while in the states I was not sure what to expect. Shortly before our trip an acquaintance of my wife who lives near Arusha said it was a good place, which boosted our confidence. We arrived after a week of traveling through the parks of Kenya (Nakuru, Maasai Mara) and Tanzania (Serengeti, Ngorongoro), usually with long...

This lodge is quaint, clean and comfortable. Rooms have mosquito nets around bed thought we really didn't need them. The open air restaurant and cafe have internet and serve good food but a bit pokey. The pool setting is lovely with nice garden and birds as it is several blocks of main road in a pseudo jungle enclave. The best...

Staff were friendly. However, everything is closed early on Friday night. We arrived at 10 pm and the bar/restaraunt etc. were all closed. We did buy a couple of bottles of water from the receiptionist. It is a cost effective stop in a very good neighborhood. So it is quite safe. It is surrounded by other nicer hotels. An easy...

We stayed here on the front and tail ends of our trek to Kili and our safari, and it was wonderful. The best part being that it is close to Arusha, but located on a quiet street, which feels private and safe. We could walk to town from here, but we always loved coming back to our Outpost oasis! The...

I used the Outpost Lodge upon arrival and prior to departure after the climb. They were very helpful and provided wonderful service. The included breakfasts were perfect. The restaurants on sight has tasty options. The location was quite convenient and central to Arusha for day excursions and other restaurant options. The rooms were clean and perfect for travel and rest....

A bunch of friends and I stayed here prior to going on safari. It is a very quiet , quaint place. It is near the action of the city, yet far enough away to feel safe and secure. The staff was super nice and helped us with all of our questions. There is a monkey that hangs around the grounds....

Great room, nicely sealed screen windows. Cafe restaurant was amazing, very good local and Indian dishes. Although I think newly arrived guests should get a friendly verbal reminder to keep the noise down during the night as window shutters are not soundproof. Staff were really terrific.

We stayed here before and after our Kilimanjaro climb. I was thrilled to have a hot shower and a comfortable bed (think it was a foam mattress). As earlier reviews mentioned, the rooster is still there so bring ear plugs if you're a light sleeper. Wifi is only available at the restaurant, which has a nice mix of Chinese, Indian,...
