Loved our nights here before and after climbing Kilimanjaro. Rooms are clean and big. Hot showers and tented beds. Staff is outstanding. Emmanuel in the bar was awesome! Also was able to store bags with them while hiking and get our boots cleaned upon return. Great food at the restaurant and a nice pool to relax by. Would stay again!

The Outpost is a quiet peaceful haven not far from the hustle of downtown Arusha. Staff are friendly and the service is efficient. Have stayed here a few times now and always look forward to my return.

We stayed here before and after our safari. The Outpost Lodge is a pleasant and quiet place in the busy city of Arusha. Good place to wash off the dust that you collect on your safari. The German biologist Grzimek used to live here, which gives it a special feel, but the house must have changed a lot. You don't...

We stayed here for one night before our safari started. We arrived quite late around 8pm. The room was quite spacious with everything you need for a night’s stay. The bed was good and comfy. Shower had hot water. Was clean and tidy. As we arrived late we ate at the hotel’s restaurant which was very enjoyable. Food was tasty...

The Outpost lodge has lovely grounds, nice rooms, and attentive staff - all reasons I would stay here again in a heartbeat. But the real attraction is the food. Best Indian food I've ever had by a long way. So, so good. Could not wait to get back here after a week on safari. One of the best hotels I've...

I stayed at the Outpost Lodge for a month long trip to Tanzania. I had no idea what the lodge was going to be like going into this trip, but the Outpost Lodge amazed me. After a day of flying and a bus ride to the lodge, my first experience was with the staff. The staff was super kind and...

I stayed at the Outpost Lodge for about a month while in Tanzania for a study abroad. The staff at the Outpost were all wonderful and very helpful. My room - I shared a room with two other girls, it was originally a two-person room, but a cot was added to make up for the extra person (not bad for...

Stayed here a few different times over the course of a few weeks in the region and was satisfied with both stays. Rooms are nice (beds are comfortable enough), pool area is a good place to relax, staff are helpful, and the grounds are safe since the lodge is accessible only via a gate that they lock. There's also a...

I could not have asked for a better place to stay throughout my month-long trip in Arusha. The staff were all very friendly and helpful, food was delicious and affordable, and I felt very at-home in my room and safe at all times. I would definitely recommend The Outpost to anyone traveling to Arusha; it is a very nice and...

Heavily used by safari tour agencies, the hotel is basic but comfortable. Rooms have bed with mosquito netting, desk, chair plus ensuite - and nothing else. The room was clean but the shower was gerry-built. Try running around hunting the drips! The hotel has a tiny pool and a cafe/restaurant, although it is a separate business from the hotel. You...
