Lovely forested setting a bit outside of Arusha with very comfortable cottages, exterior covered dining area overlooking an expansive lawn/garden area where black faced monkeys abound as well as a resident owl. Pleasant, helpful, well-trained staff are always at the ready for your every wish! Definitely a place to consider before or after your safari!

I traveled with Thomson Safaris in February - March of 2016. Before our Safari started I spent 3 nights at Rivertrees Country Inn. It was my second time staying here and it was just as great the second time as the first. Beautiful landscapes, and gardens it was incredibly relaxing after my long flight. The accommodations were beautiful, clean, and...

We thought Rivertrees was an ideal place to stay at the start and end of our safari holiday in Tanzania - conveniently situated between KIA and town, very pleasant premises and grounds, and excellent service. Larry in particular was especially helpful in sorting out some minor but time-consuming problems with flights for us.

We stayed in Rivercottage 2 for a night at the beginning and end of our safari, very nice, quiet, next to the Usa River ... monkeys scampering in the trees overlooking the cottage. Big room, lots of windows that open, but only a couple had screens. Has both an inside and outside shower. It's a little dark but that did...

Very nice people who went out of their way for us. It was a great way to start our 14 day trip. The grounds were beautiful and well kept. Dinner was out side which was a treat for us just having come from winter in Chicago. The food was well prepared. The rooms were OK , but not exactly what...

The hotel is typical African in decor and very comfortable. Rooms are a bit dark. We stayed in room 2 in The Farm House. Plenty of space but the room was rather hot but we had a fan which helped enormously. Had a good night's sleep. Bathroom made of concrete so a bit grey but perfectly adequate. Food was good,...

I would give this Inn a 4 1/2 if it were a choice as it is excellent for the price and while it is not a luxury facility- it is very good. A fine choice for pre and post Tanzania safaris. We stayed 3 nights recently at Rivertrees – two nights before our safari and one night afterward ( they...

Recently spent 4 nights at Rivertrees Country Inn, in between climbing Mt. Kilimanjaro and going off on a safari. Rivertrees staff was welcoming and responsive from the very beginning. We had an absolutely delightful private cottage, set on beautiful grounds with gardens, trees, and monkeys. Dining is semi-outdoors with tasty buffet breakfasts, and excellent lunches and dinners with fresh (and...

We spent a week in Rivertrees with our 3 year old daughter, in order to relax arriving in Tanzania...great idea !!This stay truly enchanted us and will no doubt remain a strong memory of our trip to Tanzania. A very professional lodge team, both warm and very caring. My husband experienced mountainbiking, we went hiking, and get to visit local Maasai...
