This was a nice hostel with friendly staff. They have good openingshours. We came very late at night but still they were open and checked us in. The rooms were really small but the shared bathrooms were very nice and clean. You can also store your bags if you are going to a safari for free which is a good... More

This is a very good budget accommodation in the center of Arusha. The special private rooms are tiny so it's not comfortable for long term stay, but for the price they are perfect for a couple of nights. The place is clean and staff professional. The restaurant is expensive, so I didn't try the food, I just went to the... More

Small, but clean rooms in a convenient location. Breakfast is basic too. Balcony rooms tend to get noisy in the mornings. They can hook you up with budget safari operators. Place was busy with other travelers if you are looking to team up. If you are a backpacker on a budget, this place works fine.

The rooms were clean but basic, no frills, not ensuite. The bathrooms although clean, could do with some new taps and such. All in all a nice place to stay on a budget. Service is good and safe parking is available.

We stayed for two nights at the Arusha backpackers in a private double room. The room was up two flights of steep stairs and had a large window onto a shared balcony. The room was small but functional with a reasonably comfortable small double bed. Towels and bedding was included and seemed clean. It did feel a by like a... More

After staying at another hostel a little outside of town, it was nice to move to the Arusha backpackers. The rooms were basic but clean and affordable. It was nice to be able to go up to the rooftop bar and restaurant. The food was good and the beers were cold! Also some great people watching from up there. We... More

We came to this hotel many years ago and returned because we were looking for a low budget hotel option. This hotel is located on the main road of Arusha, making shops, the bus station, and restaurants accessible. The rooms were very basic; they had outlets with working electricity, a desk, and a bed. No mosquito nets, but there were... More

I have backpacked quite a lot and dont mind a budget place but I would avoid sleeping here. The sheets were dirty, sockets dont work in the rooms and the room was very damp. The staff said that it would be 'fixed' tomorrow but apparently that had already been the case for 2 weeks. The restaurant is overpriced and not... More

I stayed in Arusha Backpackers a couple of days which I enjoyed really much. The douches are warm. The toilettes clean. And the people are very kind and always prepared to help you. The break fast is also nice with enough different choices of food. Meeting people here is really easy which was nice for me since I travelled alone.... More
