Like an old colonial Inn, the lodge takes care of all your needs. Laundry, gin and tonic and good food. Beautiful grounds and huge suites decorated for Africa. All inclusive, spa treatments are extra. The folks are nice and helpful. It was our spring board before Kilimanjaro

This was a wonderful first stop on our Tanzania adventure. We arrived late in the evening after a long journey from the USA. Though it was dark I could see the lodge was meticulously maintained, tastefully decorated and the grounds lovely. Our room was airy and spacious and exactly what we needed after the long haul. After freshening up we... More

We arrived here after the long journey from the US and were so happy just to spend two nights at this hotel. The Lodge is set in the middle of a coffee plantation, so it is peaceful and quiet. We really never left the property while we were there, and enjoyed wonderful spa treatments that really helped with the "jet... More

Stayed here one night and I have to say everything about it was phenomenal. From the service and coordination to the food and rooms. These guys are absolute first class in every way! I can't recommend them enough. Don't be fooled though, it does come at a price. Don't expect an inexpensive stay at a 5 star place with 5... More

Legendary Lodge is something of a hidden gem: they do amazing massages at the Legendary Spa (price at time of review was 70k for 1hr and 90k for 1.5hrs) and the lodge itself is beautiful and very serene. However: it is difficult to find - not helped by the difference between Nairobi Road (as defined on Google Maps) and "The... More

Unfortunately, just had a presentation at this nice hotel. We had the Meru Villa for the evening, where we received some of our clients. The team was super and the food was excellent. Would have loved to stay over, but i am sure will be back one day to do so. Thank you to the whole team, for making our... More

Stayed here for 2 nights before starting our safari, and it was lovely. Service was great. Cottage was beautiful. Sorry we couldn't stay longer! Breakfast on the porch was excellent. Staff very attentive. We'd recommend!

Eight of us decided to go to Tanzania and booked our tour through Legendary Expeditions. We arrived at Kilimanjaro airport to be met by our two guides (Aloyce and Ray, both top class) and they transported us to Arusha. Just off the main road from Daresalam to Nairobi we took a sharp left and arrived at Legendary Coffee Lodge. Wow!... More

From the languid secluded lawns with private sitting areas, to the generous cottage suites, excellent menus and attentive management, this is by far the best lodge in Arusha and worthy of its own R&R stay before or after a safari. You will relish this property!

Our very last night we spent just outside Arusha, at the Legendary Lodge. Set on a coffee plantation it definitely reminded me of a throwback to the days of British occupation and particularly the movie “Out of Africa”. The service was impeccable, and we sat on the outdoor covered patio for meals, overlooking the manicured lawn, with the croquet set... More

“There is not significantly closer or further rooms from what I experienced, and the walk to the main house was always spiced by lovely bird sightings and its magnificent gardens. The rooms closer to the managers house seem to have issues with wifi interference, so if Wifi is a must in your travels....ask for a different room. Wifi in the main house was strong and fast.”
