We really enjoyed our stay at The Charity Hotel. The staff was very friendly and helpful (Queen at the front desk is the best!), and was very responsive to any issues that arose. Our second floor room had a wonderful view of Mount Meru, and hot water, electricity, and air conditioning were all reliable. The shower head in our bathroom...

The rooms are very quiet with balcony, free WiFi in the rooms, water heater, small buffet breakfast at the gardens. The hotel has friendly and warm staffs. The only problem is the hotel is a bit far from the main road.

I have stayed here on two occasions, both a week long with a colleague as we were teaching at a local school. The hotel is clean and feels very safe. Good African breakfast and coffee in the mornings. Most reception staff speak basic English and are welcoming. Only down side is the local dogs barking which keep you awake!

I stayed 4 nights with my girlfriend in July 2015. We first decided to move to the Charity Hotel because of a recommendation of our tour operator. We did not regret. The hotel offers a great value for your money in comparison with other low cost alternatives in Arusha. The only problem is that it is poorly located, so you...

The balcony rooms are really deluxe suites and a very good value. The room was spacious, clean and comfortable. We especially enjoyed the architecture and the feeling of the 12 to 14 foot ceilings in the room. The staff was helpful and courteous. The restaurant served freshly prepared good food. It turns out the hotel is popular with locals for...

Nice enough little place - feels safe and secure in a guarded, gated compound just off the main road in to Arusha. Food is okay, it's palatable but don't expect anything too delicious. Rooms are nice and cool, clean and secure. Would have rated as good but feel as though $95 per room is just too much for somewhere which...

I was put up in The Charity Hotel by a local travel agent I had booked a Kilimanjaro Trek with. I then also decided to stay another night due to quality, price and comfort. The hotel is very good for the minimal price paid which includes wifi and breakfast. Big comfortable bedding and a large balcony (without furniture). The room...

This hotel caters for a lot of "local" businessmen from other cities travelling through because of its price range. You'd see international tourists too as it is very good value for the budget traveller. Great things: 1) Service is always excellent. I'm always greeted with a smile from reception to the restaurant waitresses to housekeeping staff. 2) Safe and secure....

On the positive side toothbrushes and toothpaste are provided and the bed is comfortable. Security Facility is secure but surrounding area is not.
