But, in my experience, almost no properties in the northern safari circuit have AC. They have fans, which work fairly well. The rooms are private and very large, with beautiful wood, large bathrooms with separate soaking tubs and double sinks, and comfortable beds. The pool is adequate, but the setting quite lovely with tropical plants in a working coffee plantation.

Headed to Kilimanjaro for a week long trek and stayed here before and after. The before stay was smooth if unremarkable. Common for both ends was tatty rooms, zero atmosphere in the hotel with very few guests, no aircon, mosquito nets with holes in (its next to a lake in a country with malaria!!), no TV signal and no minibar,...

Firstly let me start by saying I loved the hotel, food and staff. The settings of the rooms and gardens are magical. All the rooms/lodges are well equipped and have superb bathrooms. The only problem I had with the hotel was the fact we were booking out late afternoon so asked if we could keep one of the rooms on...

The food was fantastic, the service was sincere and timely, the rooms were well equipped and luxurious, and the amenities were great. The hotel offeres activities to guests who haven't planned anything else, such as a rowing in Lake Duluti with a guide to show the wildlife (awesome!), a hike around the lake, a visit to the city etc. However,...

The bed was so comfortable, the bathroom had a separate soaking tub and shower, the outlets are universal, so you can use them no matter where you are from, and the surroundings are just beautiful. The lodge is located...

We stayed here for one night between our international flight and beginning our safari. The honeymoon suite was beautiful, and food lovely. A nice little stop over hotel, not sure if you would stay here for a longer period of time then a couple of nights.

Fantastic place to spend your arrival night in Tanzania before going on the Northern Circuit safari (Ngorongoro, Serengeti etc.). Spacious, luxury lodges equipped with a fantastic en-suite bathroom, mosquito net etc., very friendly and service orientated staff and the best coffee, freshly harvested from their own plantation!
