I stayed here as part of an 8-day safari tour of Northern Tanzania. This hotel has beautiful grounds (and a resident monkey), and offers free things to do. We took a guided visit to the local market, and being the only tourist there (6 of us) we were very glad to have an experienced and friendly guide with us. Would...

My flight connections for this trip, inbound to Kilimanjaro and outbound from Kilimanjaro, made it necessary to spend at least a night each way in Arusha and my choice was the Serena Lake Duluti Hotel, for the convenient location, for the setting on Lake Duluti inside a large coffee plantation and for the name Serena of course. I was not...

It's about 45 min ride from Kilimanjaro airport. Surrounded by a fence and on the lake. Friendly staff will make any place better. There is no shortage of staff here. There is always someone greeting you, smiling at you while attending to their duties. Rooms are reasonably comfortable. Don't look for western standard but it's nice and definitely charming. Hot...

You turn down a dusty road in the village and go into a panic about what to expect, but no fear, an oasis awaits.Stunning property with beautiful lush gardens, pool area and views. The staff good, friendly and attentive. They advertise WiFi but it's only available close to reception and non existent elsewhere. The rooms were beautifully appointed and clean but found mattresses...

When I reached the hotel I had high expectations since the main building looks very luxurious. The rooms are also quite big. However it seems that maintenance is not that great, we had several power interruptions during the evening and night. It rained for many hours during the night and water entered some rooms and caused damages to bags of...

Had an amazing dine at this hotel today. Top notch service from Joseph. He spoke highly of the Serena brand and we just enjoyed having him provide service to our table. I even ended up ordering entree main and a desert even though i didn't end up finishing the second and third meal. My partner even went on and said...

We stayed here for a night at the end of our safaris, before heading out to Zanzibar - and regretted that we only had one night there. Very nice property, with incredibly friendly staff and great service. A place that's definitely worth visiting - if nothing else, just to relax for a couple of days!

I stayed three nights because my flights didn't coordinate, and how fortunate for me I was at the Serena. Receptionist Valentina was extraordinary. She's happy, hakuna matata, and helpful. I spent most of my day on-line figuring my next destination. Valentina was so encouraging. Livingstone and Gasper were there too. The dining room is lovely and I always sat at...

After a short drive from Kilimanjaro airport we were welcomed with open arms into Lake Duluti Lodge, greeted with a welcoming warm refreshing towel. After checking in we were shown to our room which is a fantastic room with a beautiful view of Lake Duluti! The room is very spacious with a large net screening off the bed to keep...
