We had a brief stop at Mount Meru Hotel for breakfast before heading to Ngorongoro. The staff were so cheerful and responsive. Planned to spend a night on way back. Unfortunately there were no rooms suitable for our needs (family with two kids). The location of the hotel is great

The staff at this hotel is wonderful. Andrew, the floor duty manager, is a genuinely kind-hearted and extremely responsive and helpful person. Serial, the bell hop, is likewise very kind and very responsive to any and all requests for help. I stayed there after discharge from the hospital with serious injuries before flying home and these people took care of...

We were a family of 6 and stayed at Mount Meru as a rest stop before and after our Safari in Serengeti. Though we did not expect much from a mid-range hotel in Arusha, still i was surprised to find many things that were problematic: 1. The hotel has a live band on some evenings. The music is LOUD AND...

I spent more than a week at the Mount Meru Hotel while attending a workshop at a conference center in Arusha. The hotel staff were truly committed to offering the highest level of service. The rooms were always spotless and the food was varied enough for me to eat most of my meals at the hotel. The breakfast buffet was...

Stayed one night before the safari around the area. Reached pretty late at night, had dinner at the restaurant. Service took a very long time, food was good though. The banquet hall was noisy with a party all night. Rooms are small and basic but good views. Breakfast was good spread with a open area for seating facing the lawns....

Mt Meru hotel is a pleasant stopover if you are flying into or out of Arusha. The staff is very friendly and helpful and the grounds and facilities are well maintained. Front desk processes and procedures can test your patience, but the problem seems to be the process not the people.

Good place to rest and plan your tours while in Arusha. "Fancy" hotel in a really poor city. Stayed here before going to Kilimanjaro and Ngorongoro/Serengueti and there is little probability to find a better place in town. Only problem I can remember of is the electricity cut during the night (maybe a common thing in town).

Spent two nights here at the beginning of 14 day African Safari. The rooms were small but adequate and very clean. We had a beautiful view of Meru Mountain out our window. The staff was most professional and took care of all our needs. Aided with transportation into town (walking was not advised) and loaned and electrical adapter for charging...
