Although not the cheapest hotel on the northern Tanzania safari circuit, this hotel is surely a good place to start or end a safari. It has all the amenities of home and everything works! The breakfast buffet is probably the best in town. Please allow for time to sit down and relax to such a feast! Internet is fast and...

Great place to stay after a long trip to Tanzania. Rooms were fine and very nice grounds, pool, restaurants etc. only issue was that the showers seemed badly designed such that a flood in the bathroom was almost inevitable and required use of every towel to address the issue. Thought it might have been just put room but others in...

The hotel standards are good, such as the comfort of the rooms, the cleanliness and the pool. The hotel fails in all other aspects, for example the service is very poor, all staff members are in constant bad mood, we had terrible experience in the pool bar with the waitress (double charging, arguing, etc), with the pool lifeguard, with the...

A superb place to crash in ARUSHA after a long flight to Tanzania. It's a good business hotel with an excellent restaurant and very friendly staff too. We had the ugali chicken and avocado salad for dinner and it was simple and tasty. Staff was very prompt and efficient. Clean rooms and a great view.

The Mount Meru Hotel is one of the best hotels I have stayed in. It has also been cleared by the U.S. State Department for acceptable security practices. The food is very good and they have very pleasant staff that are always willing to help. If you are in Arusha, Tanzania, this is the place to stay.

Other than the fact that the service can be a bit slow (I ordered for food and waited for a whole hour!!!), the place is fantastic, the food is excellent and great ambiance. The staff are friendly and professional. I would definitely go back when in Arusha.

The food was fantastic! But much more than the food, extra-special mention of Victoria (I don't know her last name) who found my handbag forgotten in the ladies' room and turned it over to the hotel management with EVERYTHING intact! I hope management recognise and reward her for the ultra-rare gem that she is. On the minus side, staff were...

The Mount Meru seems to be a business hotel, but is definitely on the 'luxe' end of the spectrum for Arusha! The facilities are terrific... we highly recommend a visit to Anthony at the hair salon. Astounding skill with cut, styling and womens' color! Thank you, Tina, for the best shampoo I've ever had. Wow.. still thinking about that head...

This is a modern hotel with clean spaces and rooms. Reception is professional. The outdoor spaces are well appointed and you can have dinner and breakfast outside. The rooms are large and clean with good beds. Bathrooms are also clean but basic.

After a Kilimanjaro climb, I stayed here for one night. It was a welcome change after a week and a half in tents with no shower. The bar, restaurant and veranda were tastefully decorated and clean, and service was good though the dinner buffet was disappointingly mundane as to food quality. My room was excellent. The bed was exquisitely comfortable...
