We stayed here the night before our 8 day trek on Kilimanjaro. The room was comfortable, the food was excellent, the welcome was warm. The shower was dangerous - very slippery floor and the hotel was not as clean as it could be.

눇My wife and I stayed here on our honeymoon the day before and day after our safari at Serengeti National Park. The rooms were wonderfully designed and tastefully outfit to give you a cozy and peaceful stay. The organic soaps, shampoo and shower gel in the rooms were a nice touch as was the complementary fruit and bottle of wine...

I called this place in the morning to book a massage. They booked me in for 4pm, so I asked if I could have lunch and use the pool. It took them 15mins to decided only to come back and say they would charge me extra to use the pool. After speaking to a manager and explaining why it felt...

The Lodge is described as rustic - and that is what it is. The floors and paths are uneven, the cottage balcony rail wobbled in place (no leaning on it!), the Cottages can only be locked from the outside (not ideal if you need to leave kids in the cabin), and the pool has seen better days - though it...

There are some quirks here that we weren't keen on - the floor in the shower was very uneven and we thought the glass bottles containing shower gel etc could be potentially dangerous. The hot water didn't work although it was sorted out by the next morning. Not sure about the padlock on the door either. However, helpful staff and...

Arrived late from safari with tired and grumpy kids. There was confusion over the room booking (possibly not the fault of the lodge) which took a while to sort out. We went straight to the restaurant, which was empty and had limited menu with prices in dollars! Rooms are eco style and small for families. Night times are noisy, with...

This lodge was a good place to rest after a long flight to Tanzania. I arrived very late at night and the staff was friendly and accommodating. As mentioned by other guests, the barking dogs could be an issue but I slept through most of it. I still would rather have the barking dogs than the noise around downtown Arusha's...

Nice place for a first night after a long journey to Tanzania. Rooms are on stilts and very pretty... It is reasonably basic though. The service was friendly enough. There was a big group when we were there which may have impacted on service overall...the food was delicious although they'd run out of all but one of the menu options....

We stayed at Karama Lodge for two nights on the tail end of three weeks in Arusha. The atmosphere is lovely, and each room is unique and picturesque. The lounge and dining area have unique furnishings and the staff was extremely friendly and welcoming. We loved our room and the hot showers! The food was absolutely delicious and the whole...
