This hotel is definitely older but well kept. The room was clean with good A/C, however it only had 1 hidden power outlet. Being a cheaper, large-sized resort, this place seems to attract a lot tour and "team-building" groups(myself being a part of one of these). The hotel massage was great, and the pool was clean although it did close...

Stayed at this hotel for 2nd time in my life (first 10 years ago and nothing has changed) for 4 nights in August 2016. Stayed with wifey and my infant daughter. The check in was quite unpleasant because for reasons unexplained the staff demanded to see our arrivals/departure cards in our passports (which unfortunately we'd lost on our travels). They...

We stayed at the Methavalai for two weeks in the back wing. The rooms were very clean and spacious with a shower and balcony. All staff were very courteous. The air con worked well and Wifi was available right throughout the hotel and rooms. Buffet breakfast was a fantastic Asian style breakfast – still with eggs, bacon and cereal etc...

Though this hotel is old, it is pretty well-maintained. Things are clean, comfy and spacious around here and we had a great stay. The staff struggle with English but they are friendly. Just one thing to note is the live piano/singing in the lobby area. While nice, it was a little too loud as it reached the inside of our...

Have just eaten at their restaurant and it wasn't good, that will teach me for eating somewhere that isn't busy with locals, should have been a warning. Food was some of the worse I've encountered and lacked the Thai taste. Staff was good enough and the cocktails were also good. Sadly the food let them down.

The Methavalai Hotel is a beautiful, peaceful place that is only a few footsteps from the great sea in the Gulf. All you need to do is put on swimming clothes, walk for 5 minutes and then you can start swimming! It was a calm hotel and I strongly recommend it. They also have a restaurant that has very good...

Nice peaceful hotel suits for families. Staff is very friendly and willing to help at any matter you have! English is ok but there is few who don't know what you say at reception and by pool. Lots of food at the breakfast and yes, you could eat your lunch at the same time; all the basic toasts, juices, fruits...

This hotel has a beautiful pool in the middle, during the day its filled with laughter of little kids! The hotel faces the sea, has a private beach, in short, it seemed like a paradise! Their rooms are great, clean and you also have the option of renting a bungalow. WILL BE BACK

Beautiful hotel with more then helpful staff. Some issues with the English but not enough that both parties did not understand. Great buffet breakfast which was included in the price of the room. The restaurant was very pricy for drinks even at 1/2 price happy hour. Can get much cheaper anywhere else on beach road. Check out the family bar...
