Booked a triple room here a couple of days before arriving in Chiang Rai. When we arrived the lady at reception was very rude, didn't even say hello to us and made us feel quite unwelcome. Driving into the hotel, we noticed the pool was empty and all reception said about this was "you already knew about the pool" (we...

We stayed in one of the fan teak rooms adjacent to registration twice. We stayed two nights, headed out for a gt moto tour, and came back for.two.more. this place would.totally be mom approved on a cross country road trip in the 90s. the room was really clean, bed comfortable, food in the restaurant was good, pool was heavenly and...

Stayed here for 2 nights last week, we never will again! After arriving late in the first night the man at reception offered to house us in the old part of the hotel complex (wooden building right of reception) I travel often and am not fussy with regards to basic accommodation, however the cockroaches running over the bed sheets and...

My encounter lasted only 2 minutes, and those we the last. When I entered the reception a girl came out equipped with earplugs. Apperantly she liked the sound coming out of it more than her employer likes customers because it took her 4 "what!?"'s before she finally removed them and answered my question. The answer to my question was dissatisfying...

We originally booked for 2 days and extended a day. They had put us in the old side the first night (less traditional style house) and moved us the next day with nothing but a smile. They were very friendly, the pool is nice, the food excellent and you really feel like your in a hidden gem not too far...

I thought this would be a small hostel designed for back packers but it was much larger than expected. The rooms were neat and clean and the shower excellent. I didn't get to use the swimming pool but it looked pretty good too. Definitely stay here again if I get the chance

Starting with the positives - good pool, although a bit chilly (but who wants a warm pool in Thailand?) room was clean, had a huge COMFORTABLE bed with some half decent pillows. All the staff were very friendly and helpful and gave us a lot of advice on our onward travel. Negative - it's a bit of a walk to...

This is a big guesthouse, checkin took a while because of all the copies they make and a 200 baht deposit have to be paid for ????? Anyway, room is nice. free parking and wifi. This place is a bit unpersonal and is run like a business. No personality but sufficient for a good night rest.

At first I would like to clarify a few things. As the names assumes (Ben Guesthouse), this property offers a simple accommodation. So please do not expect 5 star service. The rooms are clean, the staff maintain the facility, basic needs get fulfilled. But if you need either 24 hour care or detailed backpacker suitable information you should consider to...
