Situated in the heart of Chiang Rai this made it within walking distance of all conveniences. Close to restaurants, varied shops, bars and the night market. The hotel was very modern and under going a foyer update when I was there. With its own restaurants and bar very handy. With a lovely pool area quite family friendly.

Hotel has a great location, just a few minutes walk from excellent market place with a lot of stalls and shops, as well as restaurants. Even though hotel is in the city center the room was very quite. The internet in the room was very good, and breakfast excellent. We enjoyed our stay there very much, partly also because Chiang...

Wiang inn: very good location in city center, close to night bazaar and many shops and restaurants, (recommend Muangthong restaurant just 20m.walking distance front of hotel, good local Chinese food cheap price, valuable). Hotel also not far from attractions, Wat Pra kaew and Wat Pra Singh, nice and sacred Buddhist temples. Hotel is fully booked this period with Chinese and...

Rooms clean and comfortable, ok for a night or two. Food westernised and reasonably presented. Good live music in the bar area. Nothing startling but quite adequate and in a good position to visit town.

Hotel was once grand but needs major renovation. Room smells on checking in. Hence we left the windows open to air the room. Location is alright, near the small scale night market. Staff was helpful. Breakfast was average.

I stayed at this hotel with my tour group and it was located in the center of town near the wonderful night market. The staff provided great service and very timely. The woman who took the meal tickets for breakfast and dinner was rude to some of the guests. The rooms were older and a bit small, but what upset...

The receptionists were not particularly friendly and clearly lacking welcome attitude without any smile. Moreover the lady at the receptionist desk was poor in communicating with a weak command of English. The room was okay but the bathroom was not so clean with visible molds. It discouraged taking a bath. Buffet breakfast was average with standard selections. Before 7am, the...

In posting this review, there is a sense of unfairness since I had been friend of the owner for over 40 years. For the past four decades, the property had been the best choice for overnight accommodation in Chiangrai. The hotel had welcome Royalty and important diplomats in the past. Therefore it had compiled an impressive historic performance. The property...

Wiang inn is a traditional old hotel in the Chiang Rai city center , excellent for groups, good for indipendent travelers. We got 2 deluxe rooms for 3 nights and new year eve. Warm welcome at the lobby with a fast check in and helped well with luggages by an attentive bell captain staff. The rooms(at smoking floor,2) are well equipped,with...

In an excellent location and staff etc. are good. Wifi very erratic and I really wanted authentic northern Thai food and sticky rice. No sticky rice available in the restaurant and I thought everything had been tempered down to western tastes. So as its convenient I would stay again but want more spicy food. Reception very helpful and the Festival...
