Spent only two nights at the Legend, but it was a terrific resort. The room was spacious and clean. The food was excellent. The service was outstanding. Its location on the river added to its romantic ambience. Would definitely recommend this resort.

My husband and I had occasion to stay at The Legend on a 3 night stay in January, and quite enjoyed this lovely hotel. At first it seems to be a little far from the town centre, but was actually not only a very short and inexpensive taxi ride (or hotel shuttle which runs in the evenings), but was only...

Arrived at the hotel after a flight to Bangkok and internal transfer to Chiang Rai. Tired, hot and cranky are not usually good combinations and you can find fault within anything when like this. But this place was perfect - simple check in process whilst welcomed with a cold towel and glass of lemongrass based cold drink. Then found that...

This hotel was booked for us by the travelagent and we stayed here for 2 nights in a Superior Studio and that was more than enough luxury. The hotel has a beautiful garden in which the rooms/villa's are situated. Pool, restaurant and riverview-terrace are great. Until we went to bed...... The mattress is quite hard but even worse are the...

Peaceful location overlooking the river. Gorgeous swimming pool, lovely clean rooms. Breakfast was good but dinner at the restaurants was just ok and variable. But most people would not be expecting a top quality Italian restaurant in this part of Thailand.

We stayed for 3 nights at this hotel in January 2013. The setting is lovely on the banks of the river and the rooms are spacious and clean but it is a way out of the main town. Very relaxing and quiet and we organised a couple of tours from the hotel which were quite good. We had dinner in...

Really wonderful location on the river, very peaceful. Easy walking distance from downtown. They offer inexpensive transportation to and from the night market, however the "from" part can be a little hit or miss. Regardless a tuktuk ride back to the hotel is safe, fun and really cheap. Rooms were very nice, spacious with really large showers and the rooms...

This is a really beautiful hotel set in lovely grounds with views over the river. The hotel has a boutique feel to it with rooms and villas set out in small buildings set amongst the gardens and ponds. We stayed in a room (rather than a villa) which was beautiful and a bit quirky (not the usual corporate style of...

We stopped at The Legend for 3 nights enroute to Laos by boat down the Mekong. The hotel has pleasant gardens running down to the river with seating for an evening drink (or whatever you wish) with non obtrusive guitarist playing in the background. We didn't use the pool but it was clean with recliners all around. The breakfast was...

This hotel is set a bit out of the main town area so it is better if you have a car or are happy to use a tuk tuk or minivan to get around. The upside is the fact that it has large grounds and is set on the banks of the river, some very pleasant seating areas on the...
