In the middle of a rural area so peaceful
Breakfast had only porridge, boiled egg, toast with orange jam and butter. Coffee only, no milo or ovaltine for kids, no real milk.
My family took more than one egg and the staff complained that one person / one egg only (wth) anyway, we took 3-4 more eggs.
Staff at the restaurant should be more friendly and not so limitied for the breakfast.
Here is the story...So we slept over at Seree for one night on our way to Koh Lipe. It looked like a convenient choice given it's 5 minutes away from the airport and we flew over that evening. We booked via Agoda and the hotel had airport transfers both ways inluded in price. After booking the room, I contacted the hotel to confirm airport transfers, letting them know the exact time we were arriving. The confirmation message came back saying: The driver will be waiting around Taxi stand, driving Blonde silver Pajero sport car, please wait there. So once we arrived, we got out of the airport to the taxi stand trying to find Pajero, walked around several times, Pajero was not there. Waited for a while at the exit to the airport which overlooks taxi stand and then decided to take a taxi to the hotel. Taxi drive took more than half an hour, and this is not because of the distance (normally it takes 5 minutes) but because taxi driver was driving around trying to locate the place. At one point, I took my husbads business phone and called the hotel to get them to try to explain to the taxi driver, where is it that he needs to go. A person on the other side picked up and said staring away-No english, they did not undestand so I gave up the call. Luckily, very soon after, the taxi managed to locate the address and as we were checking in, a lady appeared at the doorstep speaking english saying she was at the airport, waiting to pick us up, somewhere, but not at the taxi stand as confirmed earlier during booking arrangements (I wouldn't be able to get to know the airport I've never seen before that well, at midnight after a long flight). As were were getting out of the reception and towards our room, we stepped outside and the same lady was with us, there was a car outside that appeared to me as the one she used for a pickup. So it was no Pajero but Toyota or some different brand, I asked her about the car and if she used it for a pick up and I pretty much understood that she did. So I wasn't really sure how were we going to recognise her at the airport when she was standing at the different spot then what agreed and driving a different car. She did attempt to e-mail me while at the aiport instead of trying to give me a call, I had no data on my phone and the airport wifi was not working.
Other then the transport, everything else was in line with the expectation, as in line with the price paid, the room was new, very clean, had aircon and hot water, swimming pool was at a different place about 200m walk from the hotel, breakfast was the most basic, some boiled eggs, hot salty thai porridge and some deep fried dough which could be used instead of bread. In the morning, the driver in the Pajero took us back to the airport.
It is clean, good-priced, new and staff is very friendly. The owners are super friendly also so don't hesitate to talk to them :)
It is just a bit inconvinient for exploring the city because it is close to the airport but if you plan to just crash the night I highly recommend this hotel. They also have car parking, fitness, pool nearby and free simple breakfast and airport pickup (just write to them).
The room has the basics (no mosquitoes, which is good). Cats fighting during the night wasn't that good.
The breakfast is really bad. Rice pourridge, instant coffee, boiled egg and 2 pieces of toast with butter or orange marmalade. No tea, no milk, no real coffee, no more bread...
If you just want to sleep, it's ok. If not...
breakfast was minimal.
staff ok in reception but poor in restaurant.
In the middle of nowhere so bring your own supplies unless you want to pay 90baht for a chang.
swimming pool is closed 10am-4pm every day (just when u need it!) and was closed all day when we tried to use it. Forget about the fitness room as the machines are broken.
ok for overnight stay but could be so much better but cheap so acceptable.
It’s in the country side, I spend 130 Baht for using Tut Tut to come here from downtown area.
in a glimpse, not much to see around Seree Grand Resort. No seven-eleven and shopping mall nearby.
I was then welcomed and greeted by a lady. The check-in process did in the quick way by signing the room check-in form and submitting room deposit.
Also, I confirmed with the lady in relation to the next day’s airport transfer. After that, a bellboy escorted me to the guest room while unloading the suitcases.
The bellboy did the good job in placing the suitcases in the guest room as assigned by the front desk and assisted me to find the air-conditioner and television remote control.
Upon walked into the guest room for the first time, I couldn’t help but noticed how spacious it was. It’s beyond the price I was paying. It was actually spacious enough to accommodate extra seating spaces and sofa next to the bed.
Other outstanding element of the room aside from the size was the individual car park attached to the room. The guests and Seree Grand Resort easily transport or unload the suitcases from the vehicles.
Notwithstanding in the country side, Seree Grand Resort featured essential modern creature comforts such as flat screen television with local television channel, WIFI, a fridge, standard 2 bottles of complimentary mineral waters, coffee or tea sachets as well as the kettle.
In terms of charging points, it was sufficient and conveniently at the side of the bed too. Again, I grateful for the make-up mirror. It just perfect for make-up and combed the hairs rather than using the washroom mirror.
For bathroom, it separated the toilet and shower area. There were basic toiletries. For example, shower cap, toothbrush, toothpaste, cotton buds, shower gel, shampoo, and body towels. I favored shower head’s high and strong water pressure. I felt a lot better while showering under high and strong water pressure.
Heart and simple breakfast-pork porridge, fried dough and soft boiled eggs were served too. The foods were fine though it plain and lacked of choices.
Another highlight of the Seree Grand Resort, Hatyai was free of charge airport transfer service. The driver was very punctual. The driver was ready few minutes earlier than me which I didn’t have to wait. The driver was not the talkative type. He didn’t interact with me in the journey. Anyway, I enjoyed the quiet ride. I finally arrived Hatyai International Airport safely.
