Before I went to this hotel, I read the reviews from Tripadvisor. I was thinking, oh gosh, cockroaches? Thank God when I was there, it was quite clean. I must say that it is worth the money. It's cheap and the room is quite clean. Advisable to stay here if you have your own transport since you can park your car at the provided car park. If you don't, then you might consider of staying near to the market or town.

We stayed in two triple rooms (no connecting rooms available) with one double and one single bed. The rooms and toilets were clean. We only stayed for a night so I am not sure if they do daily cleaning.

The hotel is not situated in central Hatyai, you have to take tuk tuk. We had our own transport so, the travelling was not a problem. The hotel provides free parking. Drinking water provided but you have to borrow flask from front desk (refundable deposit required) for hot water.

In general, if you want no-frills accomodation you may want to consider this hotel. Clean rooms and we love the triple rooms...suitable for our group.

Stay for 2 nights during Hatyai stay. Location was not so strategic as need to take tut-tut for 8-10 min time to Hatyai city centre. You may walk too, which will take another 30 min time.
Hotel condition was okay, clean. Can't expect much services as this is not a 5-star hotel. No worries on finding transportation if you are not driving there, as there are few tut-tut services just below the hotel. Communication was a bit troubled as English is not their main language. With sign language and pictures you will get to your places. May look for tut-tut driven by AhWang. He is a nice and polite guy, but may need to negotiate with him on the price though.
Few things that troubled during out stay: 1) They only have 2-pin plugs and no universal adaptor provided. Kindly prepare yourself with a universal adaptor to re-charge your gadgets. 2) Air-conditioning was noisy. 3) No water boiler; unable to cook water inside room.

Overall, it is still okay. Like i said, can't expect much with the price you are giving :)

My stay at this hotel recently was really comfortable. The room was so huge with balcony and super comfy bed. Overall the room and bathroom was very clean. Good wifi and silent aircond. All rooms comes with own balcony and flat sceen telivision. How ever the hotel located abit out of city. But transportation is not a problem at all because tuk tuk always wait outside hotel to bring u anywhere u want to go. Also ehailing service like grab bike and grab car very easy to get But during my stay restaurant and lobby area was in renovation to serve better their guest better in future. I highly recomend this hotel to anyone who looking for a comfortable room with budget prise. Beliave me u wont regret if chose this place. Thank u and i will back again soon when i visit hatyai.

We requested for a taxi driver to pick us at at 530am and send us to the Padang Besar Malaysian Train Station. The receptionist recommended a driver of more than 10 years. We were told 1,000TB to Thai border, and 1,200TB to Malaysian Padang Besar train station. We agreed to 1,200TB and paid a deposit of 600TB. The hotel issued an official receipt of 600TB.

On that day, the driver picked us up, brought out his passport (he is a Thai Chinese), and when we reached the Thai border immigration, he told us he is not going in cos the queue is long. He said he will get us a taxi to bring us into the Malaysian train station. He threatened that the queue is long and we will be late. Our train leaves at 9.30am Malaysian time and we were only at the Thai immigration at 6.30am. He had full of excuses which were lame....and that gives me an impression that he has something to hide.

I did not want to pay him the remaining amount cos he did not fulfill his promise. Instead, he called a taxis who was kind to bring us in and he paid him 300TB. In the end, I paid him the remaining 600TB as it was the amount we promised to him. He, shortchanged the other Thai driver--- an extremely dishonest man. Before giving him the 600TB, my mom and I gave him a piece of our mind on him as a dishonest human with zero integrity. What an irresponsible human!

When contacted the hotel to inform of this incident, the first reaction the hotel said was they are not responsible of any negotiation between taxi and guests. However they mellowed down when we showed them the official receipt they issued. As expected, their receptionist said they informed us of 1200TB till Thai Border. I asked why should I get a taxi till Thai Border when I get up the train at Malaysian train station. Logic will also tell you I paid 50% ie 600TB.

To those who are travelling back to Padang Besar Malaysia, please be careful with this hotel and the driver. DO NOT TRUST THEM.

I have never met such a bad front desk clerk. Because of the schedule, I arrived at this hotel three hours early. I asked if I could store my luggage here first. The front desk clerk immediately looked as if I owed her millions. She said in a bad and impatient tone that there was no luggage storage here. There was no courtesy at all. It felt like I was paying money and being bullied. This was the first time I met such a front desk clerk. It really opened my eyes. So I'm sorry, there will definitely be no second time for this hotel.

If coming Hat Yai normally I stayed in Lee Garden or city center. This time as I’m travelling with family of 16 pax we decided to cut budget and pick this hotel as they’re offering very cheap rate at MYR72 / night. So we booked 6 rooms including triple room and was allocated at 6th floor. The view was great, the rooms are spacious and very clean. I’m not going to complain about the bed as I wouldn’t expect the bed to be as good as 5 stars hotels. Overall stays :

Pros :
- Wide parking space
- Easy check in/out
- Staff were attentive and helpful
- High speed internet, averagely more than 30Mbps
- Location isn’t an issue as Grab service is available. Going to Lee Garden Plaza only cost 95BhT
- Very clean, spacious and comfortable rooms
- Basic amenities provided - Toothbrush, shampoo, soap, cotton buds etc.
- Hot water works very well

Cons :
- No halal joints around. You’ll have to go somewhere else to find halal foods if you’re moslem. Worry not, there’s convenient store at the lobby.

Tips :
- Key deposit is 100Baht/room (refundable)
- Grab service always available with very cheap fare
- Pick the room facing city view and high floor is recommended
- Extra pillow is only 100Baht for overall stay
- Minibar is provided with free drinking water

Overall stay was great! Definitely coming back!

We arrived at 8pm (bus from koh phangan) and had to wait till am to cross Malaysia border. This hotel was perfect for an overnight stay (3.5 Rating). We just needed a clean room for a good night sleep and that is what we received and for a cheap price. The furnishings of the room, bed linen, and bathroom were spotless. Eveything worked well, TV, WIFI, AC, and we also received (2) bottles of water. Overall, we were very happy with our 1 night stay at Hi-Season.
Tip: When we first inquired at reception about an available room, they first showed us printed pictures of what the room looks like. We ofcourse insisted to actually see the room and then we agreed to stay.
Tip: We took a tuk/tuk from the bus station at 30 baht each to the hotel. Driver tried to charge 100 baht, but we negotiated lower.
Negative: Only issue with the location of the hotel is that the restaurants in walking distance had trouble speaking english and the menus were only in Thai. Some of the locals tried to help us but if you are a picky eater (like me) we settled on food from 7 eleven.

I am very surprised to see the reviews about cockroaches or bugs in the rooms here because the place was spotless! We didnt see any and if I had this would be a very different review.

Location is about 15min by car/tut-tut to the city centre. Ok if you have car, has car park. More like motel style. Rooms are ok, relatively clean, but they need to fix the occasional little german roach problem.

Air con was ok, bath clean, shower head at funny position, pointing at the door. Wifi pretty ok. Has a little cafe which serves pretty good and reasonable food, also provide room service.
