One thing that you may take note of, is the hotel's own massage service, we tried it and were not happy with the service. The price, of course bit expensive that those out there, and the massage ladies well..... First, the older lady told us that she will switch on the TV for us, but then tuned into thai's channel with the knowledge that we are not thais, so it was not for us but for them (they were gossiping about the TV show and sing along with the artists... and we were like, whatever...). Then, the ladies keep on pressing us to use the full body massage with oil despite our constant rejections, even at the end of the 1-hour massage, they are still asking it. We have been in Thailand many times, and this was one of the worst massage experience we have. AVOID IT.
The good points, the staff can understand simple English, and there is no issue in term of communication with them. No worries, just give a big smile and sawadee kaa, is all you need to have a good stay here. The wifi connection is ok, acceptable and stable. The bathroom is clean and equipped with basis amenities and hair dyer. The bed was comfortable and just right for us with well functioned air conditional. And we will stay again at this hotel, but not the massage.
The guy receptionist is cocky and not friendly at all. Ask him any questions the same answer you will get. No, Cannot, I don't know. He should not work as a front liner if he is not willing to deal with humans and the public.
Even with broken rails in the toilet (picture attached), we can still tolerate the poor upkeeping but now, we no longer can tolerate this behavior and poor service anymore. Not going to stay in this hotel in the future. Plenty of other good hotels with good service in Hatyai that we can book and stay
Near to Robinsons Mall, some money changers and an array of eateries. This hotel was recommended to us, and we had already recommended this to our friends going to Hat Yai as well.
Room - The bed was made to face the bathroom door AND ALSO THE AIR COND VENT. So imagine sleeping with the aircon blowing right to your face. Or sleeping entirely under the covers so it wouldn't be too cold. We were also frustrated that adjusting the temperature and fan didn't help much. Apart from that, we only had 1 pillow each, which was too soft and almost flat..
Parking - The basement parking entrance is located at the back of the building, in between shops. It could only accommodate about 10 cars. On our 2nd night, we had to park outside in front of the shops, somewhere near the entrance. These parking lots outside are under the local authorities and they will charge a minimal fee.
Location - Although not as close as centara, but it is still walking distance to robinsons etc. For muslims, there is a halal restaurant right at the corner.
tuk tuk are easily available at this area and they charge THB20 per pax or TB45 per trip (within 4km)
From here to Songkhla is about 45min drive with car (THB1500) to and fro to 3 different locations - lunch at seafood restaurant near beachfront, beach drive and Aquarium (THB300 per adult, paid separately) = 5 hours
Very good value
