A new clean hotel. This hotel not far away from happening area, which is 2/3 street away, is walkable. Nearby has 7-11 convenient store and Robinson store. The room is tidy and clean, quiet hotel. FREE wifi only available at lobby only.

Food, as much as the location, makes a great vacay to me. I chose aloha because most reviews said it is clean. Hatyai is not a big Thai towns compared to its more famous sisters - Bgkok, Krabi, Phuket. Therefore hotel choices are limited. Aloha is comparatively new, therefore it is clean which is my main concern. The floors are that fake wood type (sorry, don't know the exact name) which is always better than carpet (dusty) or tiles (cold). Just opposite the hotel, there is a halal restaurant for breakfast (roti canai etc) and lunch. Behind the hotel is also a halal resto which served very good lunch. A bit expensive for a non-fine dining but hey, food is good. Another plus is the the hotel's basement car park, so 1 less worry for the safety of our car. And I tried the 2 hours Thai and full feet message at its message place on the 3rd floor. Cost me RM50 and was very satisfying. The masseuse did try to get extra money for extra stomach massage. I said no with a smile, and she gave me one anyway.

The hotel is located in the old quarter of Hatyai Town, and it is just few minutes walking distance from the train station if you are travelling via train or some drop-off place by foreign bus operators (mainly from Malaysia's bus companies that are coming from Kuala Lumpur). One of the plus point of the hotel is its location, in center Hatyai, for example 5-8 minutes walking to Centara, Lee Garden, Kim Yong market, Robinson (3 minutes away), Festival Mall or Asean night market or Greenway market (by tuk-tuk aro Baht 20-30 per person, 5-8 minutes ride).

One thing that you may take note of, is the hotel's own massage service, we tried it and were not happy with the service. The price, of course bit expensive that those out there, and the massage ladies well..... First, the older lady told us that she will switch on the TV for us, but then tuned into thai's channel with the knowledge that we are not thais, so it was not for us but for them (they were gossiping about the TV show and sing along with the artists... and we were like, whatever...). Then, the ladies keep on pressing us to use the full body massage with oil despite our constant rejections, even at the end of the 1-hour massage, they are still asking it. We have been in Thailand many times, and this was one of the worst massage experience we have. AVOID IT.

The good points, the staff can understand simple English, and there is no issue in term of communication with them. No worries, just give a big smile and sawadee kaa, is all you need to have a good stay here. The wifi connection is ok, acceptable and stable. The bathroom is clean and equipped with basis amenities and hair dyer. The bed was comfortable and just right for us with well functioned air conditional. And we will stay again at this hotel, but not the massage.

My husband & I have been staying in this hotel every time we visited Hatyai. Over 6 times already, I think. But the service is getting from bad to worst. They didn't fumigate the room. Ants crawling everywhere in the room and including crawling onto my laptop. When I told the receptionist about this, he smirked and said who ask you to bring food to the room? We were like, huh?? We traveled around Thailand and half of this planet but never had ants problems due to fruits and snacks in the room. Only in Aloha Hotel Hatyai.

The guy receptionist is cocky and not friendly at all. Ask him any questions the same answer you will get. No, Cannot, I don't know. He should not work as a front liner if he is not willing to deal with humans and the public.

Even with broken rails in the toilet (picture attached), we can still tolerate the poor upkeeping but now, we no longer can tolerate this behavior and poor service anymore. Not going to stay in this hotel in the future. Plenty of other good hotels with good service in Hatyai that we can book and stay

Near Lee Garden Plaza, Kim Yong Market. The staff are friendly and accomodating. Though some cleaners are noisy while we were sleeping.

Near to Robinsons Mall, some money changers and an array of eateries. This hotel was recommended to us, and we had already recommended this to our friends going to Hat Yai as well.

I managed to book this hotel on its official website (pls note that most of the time expedia has better offer) during peak season. We were offered a non smoking room, right next to the emergency exit on the 10th floor.

Room - The bed was made to face the bathroom door AND ALSO THE AIR COND VENT. So imagine sleeping with the aircon blowing right to your face. Or sleeping entirely under the covers so it wouldn't be too cold. We were also frustrated that adjusting the temperature and fan didn't help much. Apart from that, we only had 1 pillow each, which was too soft and almost flat..

Parking - The basement parking entrance is located at the back of the building, in between shops. It could only accommodate about 10 cars. On our 2nd night, we had to park outside in front of the shops, somewhere near the entrance. These parking lots outside are under the local authorities and they will charge a minimal fee.

Location - Although not as close as centara, but it is still walking distance to robinsons etc. For muslims, there is a halal restaurant right at the corner.

New hotel. Relatively good location from all the street food. Walking distance to Lee Gardens (tourist hot spots) and one row away from Robinsons. I noticed alot of tour groups are staying here, mostly Malaysians

tuk tuk are easily available at this area and they charge THB20 per pax or TB45 per trip (within 4km)

From here to Songkhla is about 45min drive with car (THB1500) to and fro to 3 different locations - lunch at seafood restaurant near beachfront, beach drive and Aquarium (THB300 per adult, paid separately) = 5 hours

I spent two nights here and the room was very clean especially the bathroom. Bed was very comfortable. They also obliged to my request for additional pillow. This was a very strategic location as everything was very closeby. Most of the popular eateries was within the walking distance as well as the central mall walk. Hat Yai train station was within 200m of walking distance. We hardly required a tuk tuk.
