Great location, helpful and friendly staff, very clean and nice size rooms. Walking distance to the night market, the river, many restaurants, travel services. New than most of the hotels in the area, lot's of plugs for electric devices and great wifi

We stayed at Krabi Pitta House for 2 days at the tail-end of our Thailand trip so by this time, we had already spent a few days at a few different accommodations in different cities.

The rooms are thoughtfully and modernly designed. Everything is clean, and they provide you with 2 bottles of complimentary water. The balcony was a nice touch and allowed us to dry our clothes after a day trip to Ko Phi Phi.

Kullathip was amazing at giving us suggestions on what to do during our time in Krabi and was excellent in booking all of the activities we decided on. One particularly original suggestion she had was to motorbike to the Tiger Cave Temple early in the morning to watch the sunrise -- this ended up being one of our most favorite parts of our entire trip.

During our time there, I could only identify 1 misstep -- when we tried to rent a motorbike, the Kullathip was unable to get through to the rental store via phone. She recommended that we walk over by ourselves and ask around at different motorbike stores along a single road. When we got there, we found only one store, which required us to either leave a $3k deposit or leave our passport for them to hold onto. These seemed very suspicious to us. We ended up passing and returning to the hotel to ask again. The guy whose name I now cannot remember was able to book us a motorbike. My only criticism is to maybe give a little more direction when it comes to where to go for things such as this. Travelers with a bit less mileage might've gone for the motorbike rental service that we ended up passing on and this might not have worked out for the best for them.

Location is about a seven minute walk to the mangrove boardwalk. Breakfast is very good and filling, but no Thai options, three egg dishes offered (80 baht each I believe) and is served from 7:00 until 10:00 or so. If you leave before breakfast begins they will pack you a to go breakfast if you ask. You get two small bottles of water each day and the rooms are very comfortable and clean. We had AC, private bathroom and even a small refrigerator. The WIFI works very well in the rooms. Thankfully it is on a fairly quiet street as you can hear everything on the street and in the hallways. We were lucky and got quiet neighbors for all of our stay. I would happily stay here again.

A very pleasant hotel! Everything is new and clean, large rooms and friendly staff. Location is close to the night market and bars, a walking distance to the pier if you like to take a boat to Railey Beach or a tour to Phi Phi Islands. Recommended!

We spent 1 night at the Pitta House as our flight was pretty early (7:00am) in the next morning! The room was simple, clean and tidy and we opined that was not too bad a choice for our transition purpose! It was closed to the Krabi Town shopping areas, the night market, the pier and the airport!

NB: There's no fridge in the room!

For the price of the hotel, it was a decent hotel. Clean and the AC worked well. Lots of places and restaurants to walk to. They arranged a motobike for us that was in a great condition and a great price. We did sign up for a sunset tour with them and once we arrived and found out the name, we left. The reviews were utterly disgusting and I couldnt bring myself to be stuck on a boat for hours with terrible conditions. I wouldnt book tours through the hotel. They did provide lots of bottled water. There is no elevator to be prepared to carry your bags up multiple flights of stairs

Pretty much a basic comfortable staying option in the city. The rooms are good for the price with comfortable beds , tv , wifi and AC. It is slightly away from the main city center and other parts of town, but the hotel staff is more then willing to help you with the transport. There are a lot of eating options within a KM walking range of this place.

All in all a good place for your stay in the town.

It's tucked away from the busy streets but it's minutes away from the river and the main tourist areas. It has a 24hours reception. The staffs were helpful and friendly; making us feel welcome. The family that runs the guesthouse was very kind in giving us directions; they gave us recommendations to the local eateries. The lady even gave us a lift back from the restaurant to the home! We were very well looked after; it felt more like a home stay than a guesthouse. The rooms are clean and tidy; it has everything we needed.

Very helpful and nice staff. Near the night market. Clean and comfy rooms. Actually there's not much to criticise :)
Maybe not the cheapest place (around 900 baht for two) and they don't have a pool, but for a few nights it's totally recommendable.

Can anyone let me know, which is the nearest beach and how far is it?
Answer from StingRay
United Kingdom23,579 contributions71 helpful votes
No beach nearby only river, probably best to go to Ao Nang about 30 minutes away by local bus. About 10 kms. Better beaches at Railay but you will have to take a boat to get there, can go from either Ao Nang or Krabi town.
