I didn't hear about it being haunted or see or hear anything to suggest that. The two buildings are right next door to each other, separated by a laneway. The pool is on the rooftop of what they call the loft building and the jacuzzi is on the rooftop of the main building, which is where reception and the restaurant are.
The 800 baht is charged for people who stay overnight but were not booked guests so if you have booked for you, your wife and in-laws you won't incur that extra fee.
