I stayed at this hotel for 4 days at the end of a rewarding and hectic tour of Tunisia. Although this is a large hotel with an imposing entrance hall and reception area I found all the staff friendly and helpful. The spacious restaurant boasted an extensive buffet menu for all meals, with both European and local cuisine, and even...

I took a quick break here at the weekend while staying at a basic hotel in the centre of Tunis and thought it excellent value and very relaxing. For a buffet service, dinner was really quite good, particularly some nicely-cooked and seasoned lamb which was moist and fresh, nicely-done potato croquettes and cheese crepes. Not much in the way of...

Efficiently dealt with on arrival; room not fully cleaned - pity - did it myself. Otherwise, room very nice and comfortable - lashings of hot water and plenty of towels. Balcony overlooking beautiful pool area and sea. Hotel less than half full so very quiet. Woken at 0140 to 0330 by clumping feet in room overhead - marble floors and...

A lot of people have commented on the service, well a tip would be, learn a little French or better yet a couple of words of Arabic and you'll be spoilt rotten. After travelling a fair amount, its amazing the reaction you get, you make a little effort and they will make a big effort, also, tip, a few Dinars...

I do not recommend this hotel! I stayed there for six nights for work and was told that it was a "fun beach resort." Ummm, no, it wasn't. First, it's about 30 minutes away from downtown Tunis and the old city. It's only accessible via taxi or private vehicle. Luckily, taxis are super cheap in Tunisia so you won't pay...

We stayed here at the start and end of our month in Tunisia. We booked through Makemytrip (an Indian site) which meant, given that the £ is so good against the Rupee, that we ended up paying a third of the Hotel's listed price. The hotel is what you'd expect of the group and of a hotel in Zone Touristique....

Stayed here last year for a business conference, and was very pleased that it was my company paying for the stay and not me! The location of the hotel wasn't great, not as close to Tunis as I'd hoped. It was quite near the beach though, but the weather wasn't particularly good while I was there, so sunbathing was not...

I attended a conference at the Ramada Plaza for six nights in November. The property is probably a good three stars with problematic staff and typical hassles one finds in less-traveled parts of the world. Yes, it does seem that the staff is hearing your request for the very first time ('May I get an iron and ironing board quickly?...

This is a really beautiful property, but is spoiled by poor service. I had booked just for one night t relax before my fly to come back home. On arrival the service at the front desk was excellent and at the restaurant perfect. The food was good, both in terms of quality and variety. So was the small, but well-equipped...

Thankfully we didn’t experience any of the problems as those encountered by the previous reviewers and would recommend a stay at the Ramada Plaza to anyone looking for good value in relaxed surroundings. The staff were courteous and helpful. Only two of the hotels four restaurants were open during our mid-October stay – the Bistro/bar which served steaks, omelettes, sandwiches...
