I arrived in Goreme on an overnight bus very early in the morning without a reservation. I selected Kookaburra Pension because my guidebook gave it top ratings. Ihsan, the owner greeted me and set me up with a wonderful room and shower. He made a great breakfast and helped me figure out an itinerary. The pension was even better than...

I was solo in this period and Ishan gave me a solo room instead of a dormitory. The place is warm and full of positive energy. You can enjoy several views thanks to different terraces. The owner advices me some good restaurant and see point for sunset.

If you're staying in Göreme, don't think twice before choosing Kookaburra as your hotel. With a warm host as Ihsan, this place feels like home. Ihsan will also have loads of tips to offer as to what all you can do, when in Cappadocia, over and above serving you great food and lots of love. Thank you for everything, man....

Of course Goreme is a good place to take a rest, but this house is awesome. There r terrace which is available to look good view, flowers on the terrace, owner's cute birds, and fascinating cappadocian carpets. Above all things, owner Ihsan is kind, cool and nice guy. My best memory in Goreme is neither balloon tour nor green tour....

This centrally located pension is a good value for money. The host Ihsan is a very helpful and positive man. From the upper terrace and balcony one can enjoy a great view of Goreme, especially in early mornings and evenings. The place is interestingly designed and is full of flowers.
