CARUS Cappadocia is designed without walls that create barricades between the rest of the town and the compound itself. On the contrary it has been restorated by keeping the narrow streets of the village as it is and allowing anyone to pass through so that our guests can experience the authentic atmosphere of Goreme town.

Carus is doing well for so large a property.
The Executive Suite is great. Lots of room. Nice coffee and tea set up with mini fridge. A safe and a fireplace. Big windows to let in afternoon light with good blackout curtains, with a small balcony facing the Roman Kalesi and a great view of Goreme town and balloons in the morning. Super AC. Clean bedding and very comfortable bed. In fact the best bed of a three week trip. I needed it at the start of my holiday so next time I won’t stay at Carus last. The shower and bathroom is large and long and the ceilings in the room are very high.
There is a terrace directly above the room where there are a lot of people eating and enjoying their time late into the evening. Before they arrive and then late after they leave there is prolonged dragging of heavy furniture and it can be irritating. If you sleep with earplugs you can decide to ignore it and otherwise bring your own music to listen to - which I did both. If you need to sleep early for an early wake up I’d bring earplugs. This is the only reason I gave a 7. I cannot hold the hotel responsible for the drunk woman with the supremely irritating laugh for hours one night. EarPods to the rescue. The other thing is drain odor but that can’t be avoided in a lot of places in Cappadocia. It’s an ancient place full of humans. I always close the sink drains when not in use and put a wet washcloth over the shower drain it if it’s really bad and keep that bathroom door closed. There is a small window on the shower wall to open to get some of the humidity out. That’s a cave issue - bathroom dampness. It’s a small inconvenience for being in such a magnificent part of this World.

The best hotel to stay in Goreme, the rooms are very nice and clean the hotel location is very convenient, walking distance to many places, the rooftop Haruna restaurant is very delicious, nice ambiance and music and a great view on the hot air balloons, and their cave pool is just amazing for a refreshing swimming and relaxation. Most importantly is their friendly and helpful staff, always smiling and happy to answer any question and provide their support and recommendations in terms of places to visit, arranging for tours and suggesting good restaurants. Out stay in Cappadocia wouldn’t be as easy and nice without them.
Would highly recommend Carus Hotel for your next trip to Cappadocia.

What I liked about the hotel? Everything literally.

I checked the reviews for the hotel online and booked it and i’m so glad to say that it turned out to be an extremely amazing experience for me.

As soon as i made the booking, the hotel approached me to provide me with tours and packages. They helped arrange airport transfers, turkish night, private tour of Cappadocia. And it was extremely easy. Infact the hotel provided pretty good deals, unlike other hotels that provide with rip off deals. The hotel is in partnership with Venere travel which makes booking so very easy.

The staff was extremely courteous and humble. I was checked in by Tolga and Zuhai. They were so helpful and went our of their way to make my stay comfortable and enjoyable. Not just the two of them, all the staff members i met were very helpful and warm. I couldn’t stop saying “thank you” for all they were doing for us.

We booked the cave suites. They were extremely beautiful and well decorated. Unlike the other cave hotels the decorations of the hotel were modern and beautiful. The room was well equipped with everything we needed and was extremely spacious too!

The breakfast was served at the rooftop restaurant and had a spectacular view of the city and the hot air balloons. The breakfast was yummy.

We even got the chance to use the spa services. The pool was beautiful and there was a sauna too. Overall, really enjoyable.

To conclude, the staff were one of the main reasons why my experience at the hotel was exceptional. Next time i come to Cappadocia, i’m not staying anywhere else.

Our stay at Carus is in my top three hotel stays in my lifetime and has left us with many great memories. We originally booked this hotel for a trip in April 2020 and when the staff wrote to let us know they’d cancelled our stay without fees due to the Turkish Government closing its international borders from March 2020 I knew that we’d rebook when the chance arose. Exactly two years to the date of the original plan we arrived and were so pleased with our choice. The layout of the hotel gives great insight into the town of Goreme and how people lived over the years, each room is unique in layout and gives you a chance to experience living in a cave. Every hotel staff member was friendly and went out of their way to make our stay comfortable, safe and the best experience that Turkish hospitality has to offer.

COVID-19 protocols were still in place which meant that each morning we had a delicious and filling spread of Turkish breakfast dishes delivered to our table in the restaurant, it set a high bar for quality of food that was equalled with the food and service at dinner. The hotel Manager gave us great tips on hikes and activities to see the best of the area, and the hotel offered free transfers to local hike start points to help us on our way. When we got back from hikes we relaxed in a great little heated swimming pool and spa area which gives another perspective to cave living. Throughout our stay we felt like the hotel staff were there to give us the best Turkish holiday experience, and not once did they make us feel like they were running a profit-making business.

The rooms are well-proportioned, clean and full of character that you don’t get in most modern five star hotels, I can’t recommend this hotel enough for couples or groups of friends.

We picked this hotel for two main reasons; its location (which we believe to be the most convenient if you are visiting the region) and its safety in the Covid-19 environment. We were right in both areas. The rooms were very clean, although some cob-webs in the bathroom lingered. The rooms are also spacious and well appointed. Wifi worked perfectly. The staff is very helpful and friendly. Breakfast, which was included in the room rate was good. The bed was excellent. We were also able to try their restaurant for dinner for its excellent panorama. The food was OK, but not head spinning. The prices at the restaurant and the room rate is quite pricey compared to other alternatives in the town. But if you need to play safe, it is a viable alternative.

Beyond Amazing. We spent 4 nights here as a couple. The location was perfect - walking distance of town and cute restaurants. Walking distance to sunset point. The hotel staff was incredible. From the moment we walked into the hotel - we felt at home. We were taken on an orientation and were told that they have upgraded our room to a suite which was incredible. The nice thing was that they showed us the initial room we booked and then showed us the upgraded room and asked if we were happy with the upgrade. The breakfast area was on the terrace with indoor and outdoor seating areas. From here you can look at the balloons take off in the morning, What an experience to have your morning coffee with a breathtaking view. The room was spacious and we booked a cave room for the full experience. It was so warm and cozy in the room, you wouldn't imagine it was 3 degrees when you step out of the room. It had a huge shower, with a massive bathtub. There were bathrobes and slippers provided for you. There was an abundance of bathroom amenities that were refilled every day. There was a mini fridge and tea/coffee station which was replenished every day. The floors were heated and made the room even cozier. Initially, the room has a moisture smell but we left the room door a bit open for a while then the smell went away, I think it's because the room is directly next to the pool area. There was a spa on sight with a sauna and heated pool with a relaxing area. Our room was meters away from the spa which was incredible to enjoy some downtime there. The spa was very quiet, some days we had the pool and sauna to ourselves. The front desk staff was very helpful with all our tours. They assisted with our balloon ride, ATV, and transfers to the hotel and everything was booked with perfection. The breakfast was amazing and the staff compliments this. They are very tasteful and always willing to attend to you all your needs. There was a wide range of items and everything I tasted was delicious. There was free wifi in the hotel which was quite stable in most places. In some places in the room, there was no connectivity but then again we stayed in a cave. Highly recommend this hotel

I don't even know where to begin. Everything was wonderful. We were allowed an early check in which was very much appreciated after the long bus ride we took from Istanbul to Goreme. We stayed in a deluxe suite which was very cozy and romantic. The views of Goreme at sunset and night were lovely. Haruna for breakfast was a real treat. The mood was always lovely up there and the breakfast selection is amazing. The Bed in our rooommmmm was phenomenal! Extremely comfortable
and the fireplace was a favorite feature of mine. Meltem was sooo helpful during pre planning and while there. She is a real gem. All other staff were helpful as well. The cave pool was a lovely getaway on a rainy day. My husband and I loved our stay and will be back to carrus soon hopefully.

This was literally one of the best experiences we have had in a hotel in YEARS! My husband and I came to Cappadocia back in October to celebrate our 5 year anniversary and could not have made a better decision. We stayed for just 2 nights at Carus and were blown away by how special we felt from the second we arrived. We did not make any mention of our celebration but really felt like staff went above and beyond in every situation. The rooms were amazing and comfortable, the property itself very unique with such a magical morning view and I could go on and on.
Someone in particular, Volkan who was the food & bev manager during our visit made each meal in the hotel's restaurant so memorable with his great attitude, friendly service and just generally going far beyond anything that we expected to make each visit a great one.
We cannot recommend this amazing experience enough and will 100% return should we be lucky enough to come back to Cappadocia in our future travels!
