Me and my partner stayed here for 3 nights, 13th September-16th September. I cant explain how wonderful the hospitality was here. We arrived 10 hours earlier than the hotel expected us, and they got our king suite cleaned and available for check in within 2 hours. On arrival they prepared us the most amazing breakfast which they didnt have to do. They then showed us around the entire hotel and explained to us that "this is not a hotel, this is your home" which made us feel so comfortable. We were then taken to our suite which was in a pristine condition, with complementary wine and snacks. The terrace is the highest in goreme cappadocia, with breathtaking views, with or without balloons. All members of staff explained to us that whatever we need they will help us. They offered us help with any excursions we wanted to take part in and even the son of the owner drove us to the open air museum! The hotel was extremely safe in terms of Covid 19, with antibacterial spray available everywhere and room service each day.
My partner proposed to me on this amazing rooftop terrace and the whole experience was just breathtakingly magical. We honestly could not have asked for a more perfect place to spend our time in cappadocia. We would recommend this place every time, and we will definitely be returning in the future.
Koza Cave Hotel - we love you and thank you very much for your hospitality.

I will forever cherish our stay at Koza Cave Hotel. We picked it because it is family run, and only 10 rooms, meaning no crowds to see the balloons on the rooftop. I was not disappointed. From the moment we arrived we were treated like family. They even ordered Chinese food for us. They arranged our tours and rental car, as well as our PCR test. The amenities are great. We loved our room. Comfy bed, hot water, AC. Very clean. Also loved the decor.
Breakfast is served every morning starting at 8:30am. We looked forward to breakfast everyday because not only was it homemade, it was also delicious. The rooftop is beautiful and perfect for photos with the balloons. We had it all to ourselves one morning. We also enjoyed having wine and hookah at night. They also have a bar that should be opening soon!
I would recommend this hotel to anyone visiting Cappadocia. Such a great experience.
Special thanks to “G” for being so great with us.
Also, Kiki and Mimi (pet cats) for being so cute!

Raised up on the hill overlooking Goreme, Koza Cave Hotel is the perfect viewing spot from which to observe the dawn patrol of the hot air balloons. From our own private eyrie, scattered with colourful cushions and Ottoman rugs, we lounged and watched the silent spectacle, whilst the wonderfully kind and attentive hotel staff prepared a traditional Turkish breakfast feast, with surprise birthday cake!
We stayed for two nights at Koza Cave Hotel, in a beautiful, very reasonably priced suite, carved out of the rock itself. The hotel is a charming, family-run business and is the perfect base from which to explore Cappadocia. It is one of the hotels higher up the hill which allows it a commanding view.
Our room had everything we needed; tea and coffee making facilities, hairdryer, mini fridge. The bed and pillows were very comfy and the room was spotless clean. It was decorated with traditional items and had added to the magic of the local surroundings.
From the point of booking and throughout our stay, the staff were on hand to provide advice on things to do and were able to arrange our hot air balloon ride, quad bike tour and a full-day private guided tour of the region with our own car and driver. They also provided advice for places to eat which were all wonderful. The staff really our a credit to the hotel.
Our guided tour took us deep underground into the labyrinthine city of Derinkuyu where our tour guide, regaled us with tales of the Christians who hid there from invaders hundreds of years ago. Our guide was terrific company and full of knowledge about Cappadocia, sadly we can’t find his name anywhere but he is the guide provided by the hotel. He tailored the itinerary to what we were most interested in, taking us to see fairy chimneys, ancient rock churches and leaving plenty of time for a delicious lunch. We would highly recommend taking the private tour instead of a coach tour. The extra cost is not too much and it really makes sure you are getting the most of your time, especially if your time is limited.
Overall our time in Cappadocia was magical and the Koza Cave Hotel made the trip extra special. We can’t recommend the hotel highly enough.

There are not enough stars to rate how amazing this hotel experience was. My boyfriend and I stayed at Koza Cave Hotel for two nights. We arrived two hours earlier than our check in time but the hotel staff was able to accommodate us immediately and show us to our room within 20 minutes of arriving. Upon arrival they notified us that we had been upgraded from the standard room to the deluxe suite and we were given two bottles of complimentary wine and Turkish snacks. The room and courtyard are absolutely gorgeous and the views from the rooftop are nothing short of perfection. Aside from all of this, the breakfast is outstanding and they serve the best homemade orange juice I have ever had. And to top all of this off, Özgür who is phenomenal noticed during check-in that the following day was my birthday and I was surprised with a cake from the hotel in my room. There are not enough words in the world to use for how fantastic this hotel is and how at home you feel here. I recommend this hotel endlessly. Thank you for my stay Koza Cave family.

4 of us stayed at koza cave hotel and we booked 2 rooms with a living room area.
getting there
we rented a car and drove from kayserie airport, the roads in goreme are narrow and since koza is located right at the top it was a challenge to navigate the roads because only one car can pass through at a time. you can park directly outside the hotel as the road is wider there.
the rooms
super cool rooms carved out of the rock, our rooms were huge, each with its own living room and toilet. each room is also different and unique with different decorations and the antique carpets, loved it!
breakfast
the breakfast here is simply amazing, the food is delicious and they change it up everyday, what a treat!
the hotel
its a family run business so all the cousins and uncles help to make the hotel feel like home. G was such a great host, he painstakingly helped to find us a slot on a balloon because ours got cancelled, unfortunately it was a public holiday so all the balloons were full. He helped us arrange tours with his uncle Mustafa, it was such a delight to meet him! Mustafa drove us on a private red tour as well as to the salt lake, he’s such a nice chatty guy and he always made sure we were comfortable.
the rooftop of koza is indeed the highest in goreme. the morning the hot air balloons flew G helped to lay out the carpets and pillows and even brought up some hot coffee! it was so amazing to see so many balloon rise up in the air!
Overall if you can afford this hotel i would highly highly recommend it!

I recently stayed at Koza Cave Hotel and had a wonderful experience. The receptionist was very accommodating and offered us early check-in and an upgrade on the room when they found out it was our honeymoon. The hotel offers individual rooms with private bathrooms that are extremely clean and come with necessities such as soap, shampoo, and towels. I loved that they provided a breakfast buffet between 8:30 am to 10:30 am, and the food was amazing! Some foods available were: dried fruit, yogurt, jam/honey, pizza, scrambled eggs, mushrooms, fried cheese egg roll looking snack, cookies, apple/banana/watermelon, plenty of assorted breads and condiments, and dessert (I got chocolate and banana mousse cake). The room was spacious, had a comfortable bed and had air conditioning, and they even offered two bottles of water for free. I also appreciated that they provided a mini-fridge in the room stocked with drinks and some snacks for purchase. The location is about a 15-minute walk from the city center, and parking could be scarce at times. However, plenty of coffee and tea are offered, and the terrace was roomy and shared with four other people when we were there. There was plenty of room and time to take photos. I would highly recommend others to stay here and would come back again.

I was initially overwhelmed with the choice of hotels in Cappadocia. After a ton of research we decided to stay at the beautiful Koza Cave Hotel in the town of Goreme and our choice couldn’t have been more perfect. This cozy family run boutique hotel with just 10 authentic cave suites and the highest rooftop in all of Goreme! I have stayed at a ton of places through my travels and there are a few gems that really really stand out from the rest – Koza Cave Hotel was certainly one among them. This charming family run boutique hotel literally felt like a home away from home in the exotic fairytale land of Cappadocia. The family that runs it are some of the most kind and genuine hosts I have met, and gave us such an authentic and intimate stay. They were all so friendly and accommodating; by the end of my trip I felt like they were my long lost friends and family and it was so hard to say goodbye! The deluxe cave suite was so beautiful - spacious, tastefully decorated with many pieces made by the family itself.
My absolute favorite part about Koza was its magical terrace! Being the highest terrace in all of Goreme you are guaranteed the best seat in the house for watching the hot air balloons at sunrise.
We also loved the traditional homemade Turkish breakfast spread here every morning especially the baked Turkish goodies – so yummy.
Koza is also located very close to downtown Goreme, close to all the shops, restaurants and other attractions in town. It was super convenient to walk around everywhere. All in all such a memorable stay and we highly recommend it!

After doing lots of research on where to stay in Cappadocia I thought that this was the best place. My boyfriend and I had been separated for 5 months because of the virus and planned to meet here to have a romantic get away. We booked our room way in advance and 2 days before we got there my boyfriend got an email saying that our room reservation had been canceled. We called the hotel right away and they lied to us and said that one of us had called and canceled the room with our reservation number, which was not possible because it was not me or him. They almost left us with no place to stay and we were scrambling to find a decent hotel last minute. The worst part of this was being lied to, they should of just told us the truth about what happened. We were totally extremely disappointed in this hotel and the unprofessionalism. This was the worst hotel experience I have ever had and we didn't even make it to the hotel!

I did not know what to expect when booking this hotel but I was so pleasantly surprised! I had a Deluxe Suite and it was incredible - they had really thought about all of the finishing touches and there wasn't an empty shelf in sight! The beds were very comfy and being a solo female traveller, I felt totally safe here.
The employees are fantastic and couldn't do enough for you! The breakfast was huge and so well presented. On arrival, they had just made home made cakes right out of the oven and offered one to me - delicious!
I believe that the terrace is the highest in Goreme and you get some incredible views here. After 5pm, they also have a small bar which serves cocktails so it's great to grab one and go up to the terrace to watch the sunset or the twinkling lights at night and chat with the other guests.
Overall, this hotel went above and beyond my expectations and I would not hesitate to stay there again! I miss it so much already!

Koza hotel is family run business which prides itself in its fantastic service. We were pleasantly surprised with the fantastic service. Staff were really kind and friendly and from the moment we arrived made us feel very much at home. Nothing was ever too much and any questions were answered with great patience and in detail. They also helped us book an excursion which was much appreciated. What I really loved is that nothing came across as pushy or staged and it was great to meet truly genuine people. The location is also amazing as it provides the highest rooftop in the whole of Goreme and gives great views especially in the morning and at sunset. Thank you for making our stay so pleasant and comfortable.

I have spent a lot of time at Koza. Our first morning last year we awoke to a swishing sound. Just outside our bedroom window were hot air balloons! Of course we took picts. Best place to do so is on upper balcony where they serve breakfast.
We had the suite. Not sure re sleeping arrangements for four.
I would suggest the two lowest rooms next to one another.
Really very nice. This is a totally safe place with virtually NO crime. I would be very comfortable with my children in these lower rooms next to me. Lots to do in Cappadoccia. Be sure to see love valley. There is a great Greek village nearby. I have been several times for lunch. Ask Koza owners. Can give directions. Have hiked with " Walking Mehmet" A wonderful local man who knows all the ins and outs there. Can google him. Also saw dance group "Anatolian Fire" A real must see if they are there. Have done balloons twice. Fun. Anything else? Feel free to ask. I spend a lot of time in Turkey and love Istanbul and Mediterranean beaches. Will be there in Aug. Good food and lots to do. Very safe if you stay in "on the beaten path" areas.

Hi Mike,
I stayed in the King Suite and it was spectacular- especially at sunrise. If I visit the Koza cave hotel again, I would definitely book the same room, mainly because of the private patio. I feel it is worth the upgrade, you will have views across Goreme from one of the highest points in the village. I hope you enjoy your trip.
