Detailed Reviews
Erenbey is a wonderful hotel with exceptional people. The rooms are incredibly beautiful, much more beautiful than the pictures on the booking. Extremely clean, spacious, with authentic furniture and decorations. All the decor elements are gorgeous. We were shocked because our expectations were lower.
We had a room on the ground floor, room number 2. We had no problems with humidity, the room smelled very nice. Everything is exceptional.
The staff, more precisely the family because it is a family business are warm, some very welcoming people with whom we had great pleasure to talk. The hotel has an extremely beautiful terrace with a wonderful view. You can drink something, smoke hookah, listen to music.
The cleaning ladies came every day and insisted on bringing us hygiene products, new towels, to clean our room. It really was an incredible experience and we thank them very much.

Erenbey is a Family establishment run by the local owners who was born and raised in Goreme and still lives next door to the hotel. The wonderful staff at the facility are present 24/7 super friendly, very polite and ext really helpful. All locals are fluent in English and other languages and offer guidance and suggestions based on their long term local experience. All rooms are converted from the original family home to a refurbished and lovely decorated rooms carved into the mountain giving visitors an authentic experience. Moderately priced with daily breakfast and central location at Goreme this is a highly recommended place to stay. The local wine on offer and the Terrace above the hotel ad value to the overall experience. Thank you to Kemal the owner Debra his lovely partner and all of the wonderful staff at the Erenbay Cave Hotel.

Me and my friends stayed at Erenbey hotel for 4 nights in December (25-29), 2020. We loved this place for friendly staff, cozy and warm room with amenities, delicious breakfasts and dinners. The hotel has a perfect location which is close to the sunset point and a cozy terrace where you also can watch sunsets and sunrises and chill by the bonfire. Thank you all, Karim, Emre, Demet and Sahil. We will come back for jacuzzi 😊

We stayed here for 2 nights in July as part of our honeymoon in the Cave Suite. PROS: the staff was very polite and helpful, and the property had an authentic cave feel. Our suite room was also very nice, we got some complimentary fruits and wine as well.
CONS: the jacuzzi in our suite which was the highlight did not work, and there was no technician available to fix it. The hotel location is not too high, and for the exorbitant price that we paid (~250 euros/night) we should have taken a better room in a different hotel with a much higher view of the valley.
It's a good hotel if you get it at a good price, but for the view you can pick a better hotel higher up.

We booked this boutique hotel because it was looking lovely. When we are arrived it turned out that it was the opposite. We booked the highest room category. For sure, because of the price we were not accepting something extreme luxury but I am mean we booked the highest category. A little gesture should be done?! On arrival they took the payment but they did not check us in and said we will do it later. Actually they never did. They never took any of our details or a id copy nothing. When you hear boutique hotel you think more about a nice atmosphere but her zero.
Very disappointing stay for us staff was really bad did not care. We came to celebrate something and they knew it. A fruit basket, a bottle of wine, a few tea lights any little gesture would have been a nice touch but nothing.......
Breakfast same no efforts nothing everything being heated in microwave. By the way during Covid time!!! We sat 5 couples in their “restaurant” which was maybe 10-15 square meters
Would not recommend to anybody
Only good thing was the hot tub with the lightning and window

Response from debra eren, General Manager at Erenbey Cave Hotel
Responded 23 Feb 2021
We are appalled and dismayed by your review which clearly is not in keeping with the usual high level of service provided at our hotel. We apologize for your experience as we instruct our staff to set-up the King Cave Suite for our guests knowing people who book this room are expecting high-quality service as they are looking for something extra special. We apologize that this was overlooked for your stay which is highly unusual. Our staff are credited as being friendly and approachable, so we regrettably apologize that your experience again varied from the norm. In regards to the size of our breakfast room, you have severely underestimated the size which is exactly 43 square meters, not 10-15 square meters as you inaccurately claimed. We have moved out 3 tables from this room to comply with the social distancing COVID-19 safety and health guidelines recommended by the leading global Safe Travels, World Health Organization, and the Centres for Disease Control and Prevention. The greatest priority for us is the health and safety of all our guests and our staff, which is a matter we take very seriously during these times. We are disappointed that you would choose this platform to try and discredit our hotel with your misinformation. This also applies to guests being checked-in to our hotel which is a requirement. We apologize for your experience during your stay, but you can rest assured that our hotel maintains the highest safety and health standards for all our guests. Best Regards, Debra and Kemal Eren, Erenbey Cave Hotel.

Erenbey is a small, family-run hotel with beautiful cave rooms, an amazing breakfast, and people who genuinely want to make your stay in Goreme memorable.
My husband and I were lucky enough to stay in Room 9, the beautiful suite at the very top of the hotel (lots of stairs) that had a jacuzzi tub and private balcony. When we arrived, we found a bottle of local wine, fresh fruit, Turkish delight, and a variety of other drinks and snacks had been left for us to enjoy.
Although we weren’t able to use the outdoor rooftop terrace much due to the weather, on the last day we were there, the big cushions and carpets were being set up again, turning this into a lovely spot to relax or take those rooftop photos that you see all over Instagram (minus the crowds).
The location was ideal with restaurants and shops all within walking distance. Although we had rented a car during our stay, there was even a taxi stand at the end of the block if you needed transportation anywhere.
Most importantly, the staff here is absolutely amazing. Kemal, Debra, and the rest of the Erenbey “family” were always willing to help, whether recommending a local restaurant or booking our pre-flight COVID tests administered at the hotel.
A special thank you to the amazing cook who prepared the breakfasts each morning. Everything was terrific (particularly the borek and Muhammara)!
We couldn’t have asked for a better place to stay during our time in Cappadocia. It was truly magical!
Çok teşekkürler!

Amazing place and great location! The communication was very good as the staff were very helpful even before we arrived via email. The room was absolutely spectacular, with a fantastic balcony view. The breakfast showed a lot of effort and variety, considering that can’t do buffet breakfast anymore due to COVID.
Side note, but probably due to COVID, we had to ask for room service and for our bins to be emptied. However once we asked they did straight away to an exceptionally good standard!

Hello, we are pleased to hear that you enjoyed your stay. In regards to housekeeping, due to covid we are trying to limit outside contact to guest's rooms during their stay. The rooms will be serviced on request. We apologize that you were not made aware of this during check-in. We have reminded our staff to inform guests and there are signs available to hang on the outside of the room doors to request service. Best wishes, Kemal Eren.

My husband and I had the pleasure of staying at Erenbey for 6 nights. It is such a beautiful property. It has been in the owners family for many generations and is run and managed by the most lovely family. The rooms are so clean, beautiful and unique. You really get the cultural side of Turkey by staying at this property. I loved the cosy room which had heated floors - such a lovely warm touch. The hotel is in such a perfect location - you are right in the middle of Goreme with lots of great shops, restaurants and cafes nearby. Special thanks to Emre who helped us with great tips of what to do in Cappadocia and sorted out a PCR test for us. He was such a big help to all aspects of our stay. Thanks to Kemal and Zack too. If you are looking for a traditional cappadocian cave hotel with lovely warm staff then Erenbey is the place to stay!

My friend and I have stayed in Erenbey Cave hotel in June. Every member of the family is just as attentive, friendly and helpful. I’d give 100/10. Debra provided us with loads of helpful information (and good prices!) on transfers and trips before arriving. Emre went above and beyond to help us with booking a balloon trip and a photoshoot, he also recommended some nice other trips and restaurants and showed us one of the prettiest views in the area. Kemal, Zach and Aylar made us feel at home. Regarding the facilities, we booked the suite with the jacuzzi, which even comes with its own terrace (with amazing views!) The “lounge area” on the roof has the same exceptional views, the breakfast is authentic and delicious, the hotel is in walking distance of restaurants, shops etc. Our stay definitely exceeded our expectations. THANK YOU!

Everything was wonderful. We were so impressed by the staffs' hospitality. They really did their best to make our stay perfect. Specially mentioned Mustafa, he was really friendly, kind and helpful. Here, they had many tour services that you can booked with. We booked a balloon flight in good price and a very nice day tour. Very convenient. The location was very near to the Goreme city center and required only short walk to bus station. The room was spacious and everything inside was comfortable and in cave style. Breakfast was nice and the cook was lovely.

Hello, we are pleased to inform everyone that we have a new roof top terrace for all our guests to enjoy the view. There is also views from our higher level room balconies and the deluxe cave suite No.9 has a private terrace.
Hello, we welcome online bookings and guests who book directly with us will be guaranteed their particular choice of room if available. Hello, we are in the process of building a terrace which will hopefully be ready for all our guests next month. At present we have shared balconies on our higher level rooms and a patio area on the ground level. Our top room, the deluxe cave suite, has its own private terrace to watch the balloons. The popular sunset point for balloon watching is only 300 metres from our hotel.
Hello, all the deluxe double and superior double cave rooms have windows for natural light and are above ground.
The deluxe double cave room No.3 and superior double cave room No.5 were originally underground but during renovations it was levelled out and they are now on our ground level.
For higher level rooms, the deluxe double cave room No.7 is on our first level and the superior double cave room No.8 is on our second level.
Hello, the cave rooms tend to stay naturally cooler in the warmer months but we have portable air coolers and fans if required.
