We flew from Sabiha Gokcen Airport (SAW) to Kayseri Airport (ASR). We emailed Aren Cave hotel 2 days before we flew, and they arranged an Airport to Hotel shuttle, which cost 100 Turkish Lira, which I felt was a good price as the journey is about 1 hour. The shuttle were waiting for us with our name on a board outside the Airport. A taxi would have cost 400 Turkish Lira. The hotel also arranged our excursions, including the Hot Air Balloon ride and Red and Green guided tours. I recommend all of the tours, especially the Hot Air Balloon. The fact the hotel booked all these things, made things much easier for us. The hotel is a small family run place. I have never stayed in a hotel with such friendly, welcoming staff, as I usually stay in larger hotels. We had a Deluxe room with a double bed. The room was excellent, and so unique with it being inside a cave environment. The room and bathroom were of a good size and of a very good standard. The room was serviced daily, with replacement towels, toiletries and coffee and tea. No criticism at all. Breakfast was excellent.

This is a beautiful, family owned cave hotel right in the middle of the main town that you want to be staying in to enjoy all of the sights of Cappadocia. It is run by 3 cousins who are extremely helpful, welcoming and knowledgeable of the area, the arts and the history, they went above and beyond in their service. They recomended and arranged tours that we found to encompass everthing that we wanted to see as well as several things that we would have certainly missed had we not taken them. The breakfast was among the best that we had anywhere in Turkey, and it was free, so no need to go looking for this meal in any of the restaurants.

Aren Cave is a familt run hotel and the service is very personalised.
Immediately after booking, we were messaged by a member of the hotel who welcomed us and offered to assist with any activities and transfer arrangements.

All transfers and activities (Hot air balloon tour, ATV tour and private day tour) was organised for us by the hotel - at the best prices. This service was excellent and really allowed us to have a stress free holiday.

The rooms were comfortable and cosy, cleaned daily and it was a great experience living in a cave suite.

The breakfast was phenomenal! The food is prepared by the family and is presented beautifully on a terrace overlooking the town. It was our favorite breakfast in all of Turkey!

On our departure, we were gifted with hotel magnets which we will keep forever.

A special shout out to Furkan for really making our time in Cappadocia memorable, and for being such a gracious host!

We highly recommend anyone visiting the area to stay at Aren Cave!

From the moment you arrive, the warm hospitality, the exquisite aesthetics, the rustic village charm enrapture you. The location is absolutely fantastic with easy vehicle access to the front entrance (not up on a hill), walking distance to Sunset point, and in close proximity (steps away) from cafes, restaurants, ATM and shopping. Yet it’s an oasis on its own. There are 10 rooms, each uniquely appointed with traditional, elegant decor, comfortable and clean beds, modern amenities, complimentary tea/coffee and air conditioning. Room 102 is large suite with its own private seating area though the seating right outside the door (commons) is also a lovely gathering place. The backend of the room is in the cave.
The art work displayed all over the hotel and in the rooms is gorgeous. Many pieces are made by the family members of the hotel owner. The family ownership makes a huge difference to the charm and functionality of this hotel. Furkan, your English speaking host is a motivated, friendly, efficient, highly responsive, easy to talk to, multitalented enterprising young man. He can make all your tour, transportation and balloon ride bookings and provide excellent recommendations for all things local. When there was no tour guide available one afternoon, and he had no pressing management matters to attend to, he offered to be our guide (for a reasonable charge) and took us in his car to a few local attractions, enabling us to make the most of our day.
The morning breakfast is quite a spread made with love by the ladies of the family. They also pack you a to-go breakfast if you are checking out before the roof-top breakfast area opens.
This family-run cave hotel is an absolute dream. The kind you remember long after you have woken up.
Thank you Furkan and family for making our stay a most memorable one.

The people are what make this hotel, they are so kind. They helped book our hot air balloon ride and were quick to suggest other places to see in the area that we hadn’t explored already.

Mustafa and Yasin where especially helpful!! They guided us to non alcoholic restaurants too, in an area that is surrounded by restaurants selling alcohol. The service and hospitality is what truly made our stay.

Lovely little hotel to stay at the heart of busy tourist area. With just 10 rooms you feel the coziness of the setting, we had the top floor room which has 4 beds and a balcony. In the morning it was lovely sitting out watching the hot air balloons.

The breakfast is unique as it is a traditional Turkish breakfast readily served to you! Something other hotels do not offer. Everything is within walking distance, If you are looking for a small But personal place to stay this is the one!

The room i stayed is nicely decorated, new and clean with cozy ambience. Breakfast they served is traditional Turkish breakfast (generous portion) that i enjoyed much with view in the enclosed breakfast area (good for winter visit). It’s a shame there were no no balloon flights during my 2-night stay when the weather was not allowed. But, it’s still enjoyable.

The bonus for me to take this place is it’s just around 8 mins of flat walk to the bus station for my overnight bus to Antalya. I felt relief when I didn’t need to roll my big case up and down.

A lovely family owned hotel in a very convenient location of Goreme. They’re so helpful, attentive, welcoming, and friendly, and made our experience simply amazing - fabulous service! The father works at night to cover reception and is then taken over by the son during the day.

You get breakfast with your booking and this is located on the top floor, on the rooftop terrace floor which is great as you get to enjoy the view whilst you eat.

Rooms are very well maintained, and is always clean. We’re provided with new toiletries (shampoo, conditioner, and shower gel), new towels, and more toilet roll everyday. There’s a fridge in the room which you can keep your cold coffee - that’s helped us with the 4-5AM wake up to see the hot air balloons. The Sunset View Point is also just round the corner from the hotel, about 5 mins walk upwards.

We went through the hotel to book us onto the Green Tour, Sunset ATV, and Turkish Night Show. So far, all of our tours have been a lot of fun and would highly recommend.

This was our first hotel in Turkey and wow did it set a high standard. From the time we stepped into the hotel, Farkun and his family members were nothing but welcoming and generous. Our room (105) was well appointed, spacious, quiet, clean and warm (especially important on a cold winter night), and hot water was readily available. Every morning we were given a scrumptious Turkish breakfast spread and peeks of the hot air balloons in the sky.

If you are looking for a hotel with a hot air balloon view from your room, this may not be for you, but balloons could be seen if you step out onto the streets or any of the many viewing points near the hotel.

The hotel is centrally located with fantastic food options nearby (wooden spoon, pumpkin).

Do also note that some rooms (including the breakfast room) can only be accessed by steps, so best to check with the hotel if you require step free access.

This is very good hotel and convenient base to explore Cappadocia. The hotel has very nicely furnished cave rooms. We stayed in room 103, and I highly recommend it. It is clean and spacious. The bathroom is large and water in shower is hot with strong pressure.
Room is very clean. The hotel is very well maintained. After 3 weeks in Turkey we are spoiled by Turkish breakfasts but the one provided by Aren hotel was probably the best. Not to mention amazing view from breakfast terrace. Specially I want to commend the nice family owning and managing the hotel and the young and capable hotel owner/ manager Furkan. He’s been so nice and attentive to all our needs. Thank you, Furkan!
I highly recommend this hotel to everyone visiting Cappadocia. And yes, there is a parking if you drive (we did). Driving is certainly advised if you want to see everything in just a few days.

Hi! I wish I could go again! You are going to love it!!! We went there planning to rent a car and planning to buy the balloon tickets. When we arrived Dogan and Ahmed welcomed us and explain their options. We ended up doing everything with them! 1. They provide us a Driver (he knows the right places to visit and how much time you could spend on each one). He explains a little bit, but not as a tour guide, and let you go and explore on your own. When you are done... you keep going . We loved this option because didn´t have to rent car, we could walk to the main hotels, restaurants and bars and we could be the time that we wanted in each place. Super flexible. 2. We also buy the balloon ride with them. They pick you up in the hotel and then get you back. The ride was awesome!!!!! 3. We didn´t receive the transportation free from the airport. We paid a separate taxi. But they do offer the ride and at a convenience price. 4. I can´t remember the name of the company... but everything was perfect. I don´t have any complains with this hotel, with his owners, or with the options we pay for. Everything was perfect. I think we were lucky with the balloon ride (many people can´t not do it because companies oversell tickets or because of the weather). I´d recommend to you to book everything in advance (specially the balloon tour). If you can not make it they will return you the money. Another recommendation: stay 2 or 3 days. If your balloon ride is cancel, you can maybe try it the next day. And there is SO MUCH to see! And in the nights you can walk, eat, drink! It is such a beautiful place. The underground city is amazing!! Hope you enjoy your trip!

Hey James! It is best to contact Ramazan at +90 (506) 9379357 as each and every room is designed and decorated individually and therefore the layouts between rooms might differ. The room I stayed in was a completely opaque wooden door but the other answers have shown that other layouts might be different. So it's best to check with him. I hope you fully enjoy your stay James! I'm from SG too (but now based in HK), so do leave a good impression when you're there!
