Brilliant hotel, highly attentive staff and in the perfect location for tourism. We will be back and definitely recommend it. It’s not far from Erciyes Mountain (20 minutes) Cappadocia is only 50 minutes away. If you would like to do lots of sightseeing, I would definitely recommend hiring a car.

We are a Mexican family who stayed at Gevher hotel from June 28th to July 1st, on our way to Cappadocia. This hotel is located very close to Kayseri city center, barely 10-15 minutes walking. Our room offered an amazing view of Mount Erciyes. The surroundings of the hotel can appeal those interested in history and politics, since Surp Krikor Lusarovic Armenian Church is also very close to the hotel, although you have to walk by a semi-demolished neighborhood to reach it. Our room was clean and the hotel in general leaves a very good impression. We already knew that Kayseri is not a touristic place (thank God), even when the city's airport serves as a connecting point to the Cappadocia region, but we didn't know the linguistic challenge would be really hard. Hotel staff do not speak English, however they did everything to communicate with us in conversations that engaged a Spanish-English-Turkish mixture. Google translator was a very good help for us. Food at the hotel's restaurant is amazing, especially with the hospitality and service of the waiters (Mustafa) and the hotel's cook, Bilal. Despite language barrier, staff made us feel at home, especially because they used to send us delicious plates of fruit to our room. We thank very much everyone's service, we have no words to say thank you. Since we visited Kayseri during Ramadan, we also experienced the noise of the drums at around 3 a.m. and the terrible chantings of the closest mosque's muezzin. We loved this hotel, in short.

We stayed several days in Kayseri at the end of 3 weeks travel in Northeast and Central Turkey. Gevher Hotel was a brilliant choice. We were upgraded to a large room with views out of both windows. The staff were very nice, the facilities and amenities in the room as well as the breakfast were excellent. The location was handy - we could walk everywhere in 10-15 minutes and the price was very good value for such quality. Thanks to the hotel for such a great end to our great holiday!

Really, don't bother. The view of the snow capped mountain was great. It's very close to shops, market, citadel, etc. Breakfast on the eighth floor has good views and breakfast is adequate. WIFI is constantly good. But, the air con doesn't work ( in every room according to staff), the bedside phone doesn't work, the shower fills up with water, TV rarely worked, over all the hotel needs a LOT of money spent on it. There are other hotels very close in the same price range.
