We stayed there for 3 nights to see Kars, Lake Cildir and Ani. The area is beautiful and a must see place. The hotel was great with excellent rooms and extremely helpful staff. The service was 1st class. It's a historic building with renovated lovely unique rooms. The breakfast was very rich with local cheese and everything that must be...

The rooms were refurbished in an historic setting. The hotel is quiet and good Internet connections into the rooms. The problem, apart from the price, was the uncontrollable heating, which made my room overly hot. I needed to sleep with a window open in order to cool down and get some fresh air!. Also, the tea and coffee provided in...

Admittedly we stayed here in July 2014. At the time, and I would venture remains true, it was by far the best place to stay in Kars. This town does not see a lot of tourists, and we were there during Ramadan so it was particularly quiet. We peaked at a few of the other hotels while wandering town and...

After a very long drive visiting Ani, the former capital of the Armenian Kingdom, this hotel, based in a former Russian manorial town house was a haven of whiteness, dust cleansing freshness and service. Food at the time of my visit was average but staff aimed to please. A little overpriced but a wonderful place to rest up, explore Kars...

I had already stayed there 8 years ago and loved it , and it did not disappoint , the staff went out of their way to help with every single request, booking restaurants ( sadly they now only serve breakfasts , very good ones !) advising on hairdressers , even to the extent of Mehmet, the manager , driving me...

Our group of eight thoroughly enjoyed our two night stay at this hotel. It is located in a renovated Armenian house and is centrally located for walking around the historical sites of Kars. The rooms were clean, the beds very comfortable, and the bathroom/shower exceptional. I would highly recommend this hotel to anyone.

Kar's Otel should be classified as 3/3.5-star, & it charges a rate similar to Sydney, London, New York -- and much more than Ankara & Istanbul. My room was small but functional and comfortable, with good design now looking down-at-heel. It did not contain the amenities one expects: fridge, iron, safe, tissues, bathrobe, in-room welcome & instructions. (The TV instructions...

A large group of us stayed in the Kars Otel in April for a few days while we explored the town and region. We loved it so much we all stayed an extra night. The hotel is in a pretty old building in the town that has been tastefully restored, the rooms were all very comfortable, the breakfasts were excellent...
