Our tour group organisers booked this hotel .We found it tacky and in need of some TLC,or probably needs to be refurbished.Slippers in room were grubby and well used, electrical outlets were dilapidated ,bathroom was unclean with mouldy silicon, and vanity lights not working, cigarette burns on vanity shelf, bits of scotia falling off in bedroom.Everything felt unclean. All in all not a pleasant... More

Fantastic views and very close to the Mevlana museum and mosque. The hotel is a bit dated and rickety but very well maintained and has a very helpful staff. The breakfast was perfect and very filling even though it was a cold one. The staff barely understand English but they make a large effort to be helpful. Drinking water is... More

I spent 1 night in this Hotel and unfortunately ended up in a room on the 3rd floor which was smelly and unpleasant. It seems that there are "smoking" and "non smoking" floors which I later became aware of. The bright reception is deceptive. My room was very small and the mattress has springs coming through, the sheet was threadbare... More

Mevlana Sema Otel is practically across the road from the Mevlana Museum. It is a great landmark too, if you're new in the city. The hotel itself is a tad bit gloomy and tired. The rooms could have been bigger. The staff seemed exhausted and reluctant to have a late night visitor. The WiFi worked only in the lobby area... More

Hotel location is close to Mevlana Museum just cross the street. Hotel is economical and most of the time you can find a room just walk in but in the season best way book the room before start trip. Hotel staff is nice and helpful.

After arriving in Konya at 2 pm.we finally and very lucikly after 4 hours of going around different hotels found this one, which allowed us to stay .We are a couple who have been together over 3 years but are not married and therefore had great difficulty finding somewhere to stay in Konya. The room was on the back of... More

Although hotel appears tired, the staff were very friendly and helpful. We went for dinner (quite difficult in Konya for non-meat eaters), and they went out of their way to accommodate us. The chef brought out each dish and checked that we were happy with the choices. Lots of smiling and hand-shaking when we left. This is about the only... More

This is an older tired hotel. While clean it showed evidence that it had had many repairs in the past and needed more repairs in the present. The room was small and the bath had a very odd size and shape with no less than six walls, some of them at 45 degree angles to other walls. In the bath... More

It's so disappointing when the image of a hotel portrayed on the web does not match reality. The hotel was dark, dingy and tired. The bedrooms were also dark, dingy and tired. The 'hot' water was never more than tepid. However, the hotel was in a perfect position to visit the historical sites and the breakfasts were adequate.

Simple hotel, reasonably priced, with good service. Not everyone knows English, but they have friends on "speed-dial" who can come and translate. Always willing to help. The location is great, since the Mevlana Museum is a short walk away and the Alaeddin Keykobad mosque and Metro line are also a short walk from the hotel. Breakfast was good. In a... More
