My husband and i stayed here in Dec 2012, worst place i have ever stayed in, 2 small cockroaches in room fridge, stained carpets, cracked tiles in bathroom, thick dust on furniture, tv reception is very very bad,be wary of this place, dont let the nice(ish) lobby fool you! The staff were unhelpful,, i wouldnt recommend place to even my worst enemy, its filthy and needs closed down! we left after 1 night!

This place is disgusting. The manager was so mean. Charged us 500 UAE for one night. When we got up to the room, there were 2 twin beds on the floor. Smelled gross. Looked gross. We went right back downstairs abs kindly asked for a refund. He refused and was very mean. Said we (3 women) are in the UAE and have no rights. Worst experience of my life. We left without getting any money back.

Our stay in this hotel was a total disappointment. The room was dated at first glance, with old furniture that should be on a skip, on further inspection lights that didn't work and a bathroom that is completely dilapidated - mouldy tiles, scabby bath and rusty fittings, an open drain hole in the middle of the floor, soiled bidet that wasn't cleaned and water pipes sticking out from the polystyrene ceiling (see photos). During the night a/c was really noisy and stopped me from sleeping - it was like having a tractor plowing through the room! When I eventually fell asleep (or passed out through sheer tiredness), we were woken up by another noise early hours in the morning, around 6 am. That was construction works that were going directly below us. Also this hotel advertised a free wi-fi which was another dissapointment - there was no internet. In the morning we've noticed that the lobby which should be the face of any hotel was no much better - furniture looked really old and battered, filthy carpets and the whole place is just so grimy that it should't be advertised for the price that it was. in fact it shouldn't be a hotel. Utterly and terribly shabby. DON'T GO THERE.

Pro:
1. clean and spacious bedroom
2. near to al ain shopping mall,
3. easy to get taxi
4. friendly staff

Cons:
1. It's very hard to find a restaurant and supermarket around this place. There is a mini market at the al massa apartment, next building to al massa hotel.

My 2 nights I stayed in this hotel wasn't so worth remembering. I find it hard to sleep because of the construction on going on my room, oh I mean the noise the AC creates. And their solution for that is to tap it to keep the noise down. And if you want it to be silent, then you have to turn it off. Their lobby is clean, but their bathroom is not worth staying. In other hotels, you can even stay for a long time in the bathroom, but in here, you can't. Although their room is really big, other than that, nothing more. No free wifi access, no complimentary things, I don't know if even the fridge is working. Sadly it's price can be compared to a room I stayed in the city which is more like a 5 star hotel. Wish it could have been less.

We booked 1 suite for a family of 4 adults at Al Massa Hotel Al Ain @ discounted rate of AED.450/- per day through Agoda.com from 3rd to 5th Oct 2014. The normal rate is AED.700/-. The hotel has a restaurant serving Arabic and International breakfast, lunch and dinner but it is advisable to visit restaurants in the city or at shopping malls namely, Al Ain, Jimi and Bawadi Mall (largest) in Al Ain. Towels, soaps, shampoo, small fridge are complimentary but there is no wi-fi. The service was good, the staff were quite friendly. Jimi Mall is quite close to the hotel. It is money's worth considering this was during Eid holidays.

The room was extra large with a clean and comfy king size bed. The bathroom was dated but had copious amounts of hot water. Large flat screen TV with some English channel. There is plenty of free parking. nothing to do outside the hotel other than the park and mosque. Nice opening window onto the park.
you need to drive to Al Jimi mall for entertainment.
This is a good reasonably priced option / business option if all you want is a bed and a shower.

There was no tea or coffee in the room, although there is a 24 hour cafe in the foyer. internet was not working in rooms only public areas ..

Rooms are clean and big. Obviously was renovated from private apartments into a hotel building. However after that all the benefits of a hotel end. NO INTERNET in the rooms. Only wifi in the lobby. What hotel in 2015 doesn't offer internet?! Not enough towels, no hand towels, no bathmat, no knives to cut/eat food with. No bowls to eat from. No ironing board or iron to press clothes. It is definitely NOT meant for tourists travelling through town, as you have to bring ALL supplies. I wish this was stated. We had to go out and buy everything.
Location is good, walking distance to the al ain oasis, old palace and the national museum. Lots of stores and restaurants nearby. But I won't be staying here again.
