Far from the terminal (15 minutes on foot), dark rooms, poor shower boiler, spiders and ants in the room, and the slowest wifi in the whole South America: this place definitely needs renovation and not worth the price.

A nice place to stay in Colonia. It's a bit far from the center (a 7-10 min walk). but the neighborhood is quiet and looks very safe. Teresa is a very welcoming host. The room was nicely decorated but felt quite wet (because of the wet climate probably). We rented a car, and it was very easy to park it...

We stayed two nights, the bed was comfortable, the shower was fine. Its 15 minutes walking distance from Colonia's center, and 5 minutes from beach. The owner was really nice and showed a lot of hospitality.

We stayed one night and found it to be a lovely spot. We had everything we needed, the shower was fine, bed comfortable enough and a room big enough to sleep 8 ppl, even though we are only a couple! Teresa the host was especially helpful, she went out her way to encourage us with our spanish and looked after...

My mother and I stayed here for a couple of nights. I thought it was alright, the host was very helpful, and the garden was nice. The beds were uncomfortable though, and it was about a 20 minute walk to the touristy area. As a hostel I think it's quite good.

A little hut-style property located in the quiet back garden of the owner's residence. The bathroom was very small (door hit the toilet when opened) and the shower water pressure was virtually non-existent. The room was not cleaned once during my stay (4 nights). No breakfast was provided either. About a 20 min to the old town. If I was...

La Casa de Teresa seems to me to be an ideal place to spend your nights in Colonia, as it is one of few places not overpriced, and because it is a charming little property. The room we stayed in was clean and comfortable--plenty of space, nice bed-- and our only trouble with it was the shower (which for a...

That is what the owner said to us when we asked for some help with our luggage when leaving through the pouring rain...her son was very nice when we got there and had helped us with our bags (we have extra because we are traveling for 3 months). he was the only one who could actually speak any English and...
