Colonial is a great little sleepy town to go on a quiet side trip from Buenos aires. Take the Colonial Express ferry which is quicker than the car ferry and it's four blocks walking distance from the terminal to this B&B. All rooms have private baths and better to ask for room upstairs as there are four rooms on main...

Stayed 1 night. Perfect location, only 3 minutes walk from ferry terminal, bus terminal, old town and town centre! Guest house was really lovely, lots of character but clean and didn't feel too old fashioned. Staff were really helpful and friendly. I have basic Spanish but managed to communicate fine at check in, though she did speak English. The other...

The room and bathroom were lovely - both really well appointed and spotless. The location was great, but colonia is so small that is true for most places! We got a cheaper deal as it was mid week, but for the full rate breakfast should be better than it was.

We saw the brochure and thought this is our place! But then, we went inside and it was a real surprise. It is an old house and everything seems to be old, and old fashioned too. The staff at the front desk were nice, but they did not move from that place. We went to the first floor alone to...

I'm glad we stayed at Posada del Angel for our single night in Colonia, Uruguay. It was an absolutely charming little place, with an interior courtyard, a large backyard and pool, and a delightful parlor. They provide an excellent breakfast, better than many we've had at modern "luxury" hotels that cost a lot more. They actually have fresh-squeezed orange juice!...

I stayed here for one night in Feb. This place is kind of cute and clean, but VERY bare bones. As previous reviewers have said, for the money we paid for the room (90 USD) I was expecting a lot more! The bedding was very old, paint on the walls peeling, more than a few bugs in the room. While...

My husband and I stayed here during peak season 2013/2014, and we had a perfectly okay experience, though the value for money was the worst compared to the other places we stayed in Argentina & Uruguay. The hosts are friendly, and the pool courtyard area is lovely - and prefect for the hot days. However, the rooms were only average...

Quality boutique hotel. Very comfortable. Disappointed about breakfast but very pleased with service. Location is not great (particularly at night) but everything us walking distance within Antiqua. Wifi worked well for me.

Small hotel on the outskirts of the old city, two blocks from the Porton de Campo, main square, ruins and lighthouse, as well as a range of restaurants. Conveniently close to the bus station and ferry. The hotel building itself was charming and cosy, high ceilings, stained glass, wood fire and views into a well cared for garden with pool...

Based on all the good reviews on Tripadvisor, we decided to make a reservation here. We found a nice offer for only USD 70 at despegar.com for a room with outdoor view (normal price USD 100). But... when we arrived at the hotel, the lady at the reception said there was no reservation. When we showed our confirmation she said...
