There is very little actual beach in Mui Ne but this resort having a pool made it bearable. It is down the quiet end of town and an unbearable walk in daytime so you have to get a taxi. The rooms are clean, staff are... ok and the room was $17. The restaurant was also not too expensive! If you...

I've spent 3 nights in Mui Ne at Hai Yen, paying $10 per night in a tiny room with a shared bathroom. The room is clean and has a good fan, and for a budget traveller it's all I need. However I have paid $10 in other places in Vietnam and had a tv, personal bathroom, etc. but what made...

My wife and I stayed here for two nights. It was well priced, though the room was relatively basic (fan, ensuite). The big plus of the hotel is a great pool right next to the South China Sea - beautiful! There is also a restaurant and the hotel staff were happy to organise tours out to the sand dunes. The...

This Resort is pretty basic with your own bathroom or shared! Me and my friend had a fan room with a double bed for like $8. This place is located on the beach and includes a good Pool

I absolutely loved my time staying at Hai Yen. As a backpacker, I couldn't believe our luck to find somewhere so nice for just $7 a night. We had a lovely little bungalow, which was ideal for 3 of us sharing. The pool was really nice (perfect for sunbathing and a dip). Mui Ne is much quieter than I expected,...

Lonely planet says this place is friendly, we found it to be anything but. The staff seem incredibly apathetic, maybe knowing that because they are in the lonely planet they will always be busy and do not have to worry about being friendly or attentive or even to answer simple questions, like where the nearest atm was. This and the...

I stayed here for 3 nights with different amounts of friends, so I tried out most of the room types. All were clean and came with hot water. For 12,- you get a fan room and 15,- gets you aircon. The main attraction of this guesthouse is the pool. It's clean, nicely shaped and located seaside. The staff is hit...

My friend and I decided to stay at the Hai Yen Family Resort after visiting several overpriced resorts- we were offered a $16 usd room and traveling on a budget, so decided to take it. The hotel has a pool and is on the beach side, which is great. However, the room was so dirty and unappealing, that my friend...

What a fab find - a real gem. I'd describe this place as 'shabby chic'; it has a lovely 'feel' about it. A good restaurant (with very fair prices), with a lovely breeze, in the middle of the premises gives it that 'courtyard', tranquil feeling. The pool is very clean and we found the whole experience to be great value...

I didn't book this place in advance so cannot comment of them not honouring bookings. However, I thought this was a great place to stay, great view, right on the beach, big pool, clean rooms. I found the staff to be friendly and helpful. Food and drink is very cheap and fantastic, seafood is obviously fresh but also very well...
