As a seasoned traveler and keen fisher'woman' this has to be rated as one of the best trips of all time. From the friendly and efficient staff, to the professional guides to management, a world class lodge with the best fishing I have ever experienced. I wouldn't go anywhere else and already planning my next trip.

Shackletons has been a most amazing experience! From the first meeting of our driver Victor, the happy theme was set! He happily told us that the road out was a wee bit rough..... he wasn't kidding. Lots of happy chatter along the way. Expectations of catching the big Tiger was rife with the fisher people in our van. The greeting...

The usual way to get there is via Livingston but we went via Kasane in Botswana as the flights were full to Livingston. This made for extra adventure as we crossed into Zambia via the Kazungula ferry, which was so interesting, and we were picked up by the friendly Shackleton staff on the other side and driven via the potholed...

Wow - what a wonderful experience. Having never been to Zambia before - this was the best way to experience the majestic Zambezi. Shackeltons really looked after us and saw to our every need. The food was soooo delicious and fresh and of a really high standard for in the middle of nowhere!!! Well done to our guide Evans -...

For the second time I have been at Shackletons for fishing the elusive Tigerfish and as 2 years ago EVERYTHING was just perfect. Though you never know what to expect with the fishing - it has been excellent again. But whether the heartiness of the people (owners, managers, guides and staff) or the comfort of the accommodation, the quality of...

We couldn't ask for anything more! Pick up at hotel in Livingstone precisely at the agreed tile. 2,5 hrs drive to the lodge. Great welcome from managers Dave and Tammy upon arrival about 3 pm. and lots of practical info about the place. Would we we like to go fishing immediately? With only 3 hrs of daylight left - no...

The food, service, accommodation and in particular the hospitality from Dave and Tammy was exceptional. We have just returned from a 4 day fishing trip to Shackletons. Although we were all dissapointed with the fishing, we had a wonderful stay. The Lodge itself is very comfortable and clean. All the necessary luxuries were present, such as a generator that provides power when we all return to the Lodge after fishing, wifi, super comfy warm beds...

My 29 yr old son Stuart and I recently spent 4 nights at Shackletons to do some fly fishing for Tiger Fish. It was a wonderful experience. I have travelled quite a lot, both internationally and in Southern Africa and quite honestly have never before experienced such friendly, helpful, efficient and welcoming service from everyone concerned at the Lodge, from...

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and will always remember the fantastic service we got from Dave and Tammy. They were great hosts and certainly the best we have encountered so far. It is a beautiful place on the river and the food was excellent. We were a bit unlucky with the fishing due to the wind that came up and...
