We have been many times in Livingstone but never stopped at Chrismar. Friends invited us for supper. Food was fair and they had everything on the menu. Restaurant is very standard and not at all cozy. Place looked deserted. We managed to peep into the rooms and what we saw was not so exciting. Also the location is not the... More

Stayed 2 nights in a lovely room with a balcony. Had to keep the doors and windows locked due to the monkeys. The location is out of town but not far from the Zambesi and Mosi-O-Tunya National Park and Victoria Falls. The hotel is spotless and the food absolutely fine. Good sized, unheated pool.

We arrived for tea in a family group and liked it so much, that we decided to transfer hotels and check in ( the other one was desperately full of mosquitos and it shall not be named here!). We loved it! The pool and the bar in the middle was a great hit with both the youngests and older folks.... More

Good place in nature. loved the pool bar Friendly service and manager helpful. If you love nature adventure and a place to relax then this is the place. Transport to town might be an issue but it is super.

We arrived at night and without notice and the hotel managed to fit us in. It an expansive hotel with lots of safari themed rooms. Their food was OK and the service was fair. They were a bit on the expensive side however since we were walk in customers in the middle of the night and on a busy weekend... More

Chrismar hotel has beautiful surroundings. The rooms are clean and well maintained. The pools around are beautiful and generally clean. The breakfast is decent and the coffee is alright. However the place has lots of mosquitoes and it's wise to bring mosquito repellant although the hotel provides insecticide.

Lots of mosquitos and gaps in all doors and windows...the service is local, not tourism quality. Property is decent but not worth the cost. Over $120/night. No gym. Breakfast only good meal. Pool is ok and the outdoor property decent. Coffee was not good.

ROOM: The room was spacious and bathroom was clean and nice. One can tell this was once build and ran really well. What went wrong guys?!!! The curtains were hanging haphazardly off the rail, dirt sand-like particles on the sheets (maybe this falls off from the thatch roof?), the duvet bedding was lumpy and the mosquito net was dirty/dusty/just a... I will say the property is beautiful and the rooms quite comfortable but as someone who expects to SLEEP when I stay at a hotel and expects actual service at a place purported to be 4 stars, I was more than a bit disappointed. At 22:00 (10:00 pm) the loudest music more fitting to a nightclub than a hotel began... More

Never been anywhere like this, truly disgusting. First room had huge gaps all over the room - varying from .5 to 1 inch in size allowing all of the bugs to get in (and all sizes). Immediately complained and we were upgraded to a similar standard room. Holes and gaps in doors and windows allowing things to come in. The... More
