Although Musangano Lodge is run by the family of a respected former colleague of mine, I have never been there, as I thought the location wasn't the most fortunate. If I want to see the Eastern Highlands, I go straight there. If I want the Vumba, I go straight there - and if I need to be in Mutare, I...

Musangano Lodge is a wonderful place for a family getaway. we had the privilege of occupying a selfcatering chalet and really enjoyed the vacation. The environment is so lovely and had a nice time walking in the surrounding bushes, hearing birds singing & the kids really enjoyed the time. we appreciate the complimentary gift we received from the hotel. A very sobering environment, excellent for retreats for strategic planning and related activities of reflection and rebuilding. Peaceful and in touch with nature environs. Serene nightlife in the natural environment. Used to be much more complete retreat package without TV sets in rooms. Beautiful natural scenes to marvel at and absorb eternally.

Hosted family party at the lodge and it remains one of the best we've had. The staff are very friendly and helpful. My kids felt at home there and it's the one place we can never get tired of. The food is great and they cater for most requests depending on your needs. The pool area is amazing at night....

The lodge is beautifully located on the hillside just 20 kms from Mutare. It is close enough to convenient and far enough to be private and secluded. The lodges and chalets were lovely, and spread around the hill behind the reception and restaurant. I seriously have nothing bad to say, the food was good, the staff very friendly and the...

We were very surprised by the food, by far the best of all the more expensive places we have been in the country. She was trained by an overseas's chef! Bravo. If foreign tourist must come, food is an important part of the pleasure.

We were on our way to Harare from Beira - it was exactly what we needed. A perfect pitstop to rejuvenate. Thank you Musangano Lodge. We were happy to enjoy the comforts of our room. Reading, resting and reaping in the view from our cottage. The meals were lovely too. Efficient staff. Next time, hopefully we will walk the many...

We were very impressed by Musangano Lodge - an easy drive from Mutare along the Harare Road. The staff were very pleasant, welcoming and professional. The Lodge was spotlessly clean. Stunning views. We only stayed one night but would enjoy a return visit for a bit longer.
